Let's talk about Ancient Reliquary, shall we?

Played since start of league and made it to about 7 ex drops before I had 3 keys drop within a 3 day period.


All 3 items are worse than their 1 alch counter.



Makes sense.

I have very limited experience in this matter, but I can contribute the following.

#ARKs dropped for me this season: 1
#EX dropped for me this season: 0
ARK value the day it dropped: 80C
Total value of all items gained from my ARK: About 2 alchemy.
Conclusion: I will never use an ARK again.

Raise the drop rate. People still won't be happy. Because like the OP said 99% of drops are junk.

Game developers will never be able to make everyone happy

If you want all the best items in the game at a faster rate. Go play D3. Where you can be maxed in a week of play tim, and where the game is tailored to people that want the best stuff right now

Of course the Reliquary Key drops are very rare.

These are a chance of having legacy items drop.
And not just league-specific uniques, but actual items from before they had stat changes.
Do you understand how rare that is?

And more than that, they're foiled versions of those uniques.

If there was a better chance of having the more desireable uniques dropping, then GGG would've made the relics even rarer.
Same again if you could only get relics that were better before the change.

And vice versa, if the keys were more common, then there would be even less chance of the more popular relics dropping.

I've had something like 5 keys drop for me. I've used three of them, sold one and have the other in my stash while I decide what to do with it.


And do you know what? I'm happy with that.
Currently, the Reliquary Keys are rare enough that they're valuable, yet common enough that they're being regularly traded.

If you don't wish to gamble on a Reliquary drop, then just sell the key.
You talk about bad gambling? It's all bad gambling.
That's pretty much the essence of gambling right there.
You want to gamble? Then you have to accept the chance of failure.

i found 0 reliquary keys, 4 exalts, a shavronnes wrappings

so like reliquary keys are as rare as like what? ~8 - 10 exalts?


a buddy of mine also i think got 3 exalts? and 0 reliquary keys

I bought a foil soul strike for 100c which I thought was a bargain. The loot table can't be that bad.
Also the foil items are meant to be exclusive going into the future (standard) if, for example, there were so many kaom's hearts as to trivialize the price of actual legacy kaoms there would be an uproar.

I personally didn't find one this league and it did make me a little salty but given that they rarely give you anything great I wasn't that upset. I'd say it be worse if they made them more likely to give you something gg because then the people that don't find one at all would be pj salt probably.

I've already added my two cents in one of the many previous posts covering this topic, but i'll add a small note once more. The odds of getting a unique from ARK's that is not completely worthless in trade seems at least as low as the odds of getting a unique worth it's salt from by having it drop from killing mobs, if not more. Since hitting something decent from ARK's will probably leave you with an item worth more than the better drops from mobs, i do expect the drop rate from ARK's to be smaller than the rate at which uniques drop, but tbh, not by as much as it is now. An increased drop rate for them does make sense to me, but since we're nearing the end of this league, this discussion is kind of moot. But, yeah, to me, the keys are too rare.

FYI, 1 exalt, 4 keys dropped (none used, all sold) in almost 14 days /played, with very little afk time

Also, the foil thing ? Fugly as hell in my opinion. Would much prefer an actual legacy item over these

I guess everyone magically forgot the youtube video where GGG says that they are expecting some ppl to collect "all of the unique reliquary drops."

which leads me to the question, "has anyone already collected all of them?"
