Get Rid Of Reddit GGG

Being able to write in a forum has nothing to do with Democracy.

I'd also argue that the up/down vote system of Reddit is basically Democracy reincarnate. Anyone can vote a person up or down in the thread, effectively making them the lead comment of the thread.

My wording was off, I have to agree with you first part (tho you will find "equality and freedom of speech in may definitions of democracy). Your second, on the other hand, I still have to disagree with. There are so many factors into why you would downvote something, that the democratic part of it vanishes. But still, if it IS "democracy reincarnate", it's still destructive in a forum like that, as you aren't supposed to "up" or "down" vote a PERSON, as you say, but their posts. The content.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

People respond better to things that make them feel rather than things that make them think. Which is why such things as jokes at the top of a Reddit post are higher rated than actual additive content, or why religion and politics are so popular.

What

The devs actually said they watch streamers and read Reddit for some influence on balance

So how are those premises false

Damn you get salty so fast what happened to the smiley faces like your last post :)

I didn't dodge anything :)

The situation you presented would not actually exist if they actually responded to things on their forum :)

And I agree they barely post anything on these forums :)

I said the premise of this thread is false and also has nothing to do about where GGG responds but why poe/reddit exists. It merely represents why threads like this gets down voted, for a good reason.

You assume I am salty which is nothing to do about it :),still didn't took a legit straight answer.

The fact that they don't respond to threads like this should tell you why they don't do it in first place. Its counterproductive, doesn't represent a faction of the community and in reddit threads like this wouldn't be highlighted for good reason.

It has some standards on how you form a thread and as I said it is a 50/50 situation. I am ashamed for example, this thread right now woiluld be top comment because I responded to it and has nothing to do if it is producing any benefit to discussion or GGG response as full
Bye bye desync!

premise of this thread is false ? why?
why should i tell what did happen in the past 1 by 1 . If you are playing this game , if you are familiar with this community , have full knowledge of topic ,you should know what did happen in the past

i'm telling reddit or even reddit+forum dont represent full audience(community). You can't take actions like that and this circle is totatly disgusting, its a bad impression for GGG or any Company. And im saying i have NO RESPECT any company like this because they dont respect their full audience , they take actions because small amount of people yelling somewhere even itsnt true or effect the game negatively .

and also i m not an attetion W. like the most of reddit users(dont even have an account), just telling what did i see , what did i do in the past and what will i do.if i was ,i will make thread like you said , respond every single comment...

Guess who GGG must not listen here.

I rest my case

Democracy is a fickle thing.

I lol'd.

Having the chance to "write your mind" in a forum is democracy. The up/down voting system is mob mentality set in function, and brings WAY more destructive elements, than it does constructive.

OT: The Reddit site itself is nightmare when it comes to design, overview AND functionality. Why ANYONE (including GGG) would actually use it, is beyond me. Why GGG continues to post updates/stuff there that they don't post here, is unprofessional at best - and close to idiotic.

- The official forums for some updates.
- Reddit for other updates.
- Another third party site for trading.
- Yet another third party site for game play info (wiki)

I really struggle to see why.

++ to that.

It's possibly mostly because I feel more at home in old fashioned forums, but you really have to wonder why a company does not keep all of its stuff together in one place.
Of course they could and probably should use other media, but a person coming to PoE will probably come HERE, or rather THERE (www.pathofexile.com) and look for information.
However, nowhere on the site do you see any link to reddit, nor to poe.trade... you have to find that out for yourself (or accidentally when googling something poe related).
The wiki at least is linked to - still can't understand why there is a real official wiki instead of a 3rd party one (and a 3rd party that many people seem to dislike immensely).

What I like about reddit is that it is not censored by GGG. So they (GGG) cant just thread-lock or edit things they dont like. Due to that posts (of certain topics) on reddit have more "clout".
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
all jokes aside, reddit seriously have the power to ban people. just look at the leaguestone exploit event; at first GGG just fixed it and moved on. But ofc reddit found out and asked for blood and got their blood in around 12 hours.

Seriously Chris Wilson i am looking at your post history and 90 percent+ is reddit. Nothing but this is gonna be the reason i quit this game

Guess banning players is more convenient/easy than taking the blame for their own mistakes.
