I'm more worried about the suggestions post in this forum than reddit in all honesty.

By that I mean accept both your forums general and suggestions and also the good part of reddit, the talk about mechanics, more direct interaction with GGG to concentrated threads that really matters.

Reddit does no good when highlighting bad threads. But highlighting bugs, balance and other crucial issues?Hell yeah, reddit rulez in this matters

So yes, things must get needed.Things must get balanced. All what reddit does is highlighting issues.Change your /hot to /controvesial and you can watch how good some threads are isolated.

For example a thread like this,in reddit wouldn't make first page and would likely be downvoted to oblivion. And that is because you try to suppress a whole active community without contributing anything

agree, thats how the things work in real life (poltician>citizen)
I am so happy when getting ignored :)

That's quite democratic I would say :)
Bye bye desync!
Get rid of reddit? Where The Fall of Oriath expansion is upvoted to main page and potentially bring new players? Where people from time to time make nice, positive threads about GGG and community, so lacking in these forums? Where there are some interesting initiatives like 'Map of the Day' while ones I see here are so easily buried? No way. Unfortunately.

What really saddens me is that reddit gets all the spoilers, while here people may ask about them in 5 threads and get no answer unless a kind soul that reads Reddit would tell them. And that some of the devs, who I clearly remember posting more here, now mainly involve into discussions on reddit. I don't mind posting them there, and understand they do what they want but when I see they always post so much more there and even involve into some friendly offtopic discussions, I feel like if I was some kind of worse sort of player for them, because I am in the forums and not on reddit.

I remember a thread on reddit related to technical support posted by Chris and reposted to the forum. I'm not tech savvy, so I didn't understand as much as I wanted but soon after first message Chris posted a very good explanation... but only on reddit. When I needed that 2 weeks after, I wasn't able to find it, because on reddit it was already buried, google didn't help and the thread here, I managed to find it but it didn't have the needed Chris' reply. It was very disappointing. Fortunately someone else reposted that message from Reddit and I was able to play the game.
The things suggested and discussed on the reddit tend to be far more "in touch" with the game than the hilarious garbage recommended on this forum all day...
U MAD?

aka

Let's remove the lab for everyone because I didn't like it.

Let's remove these game mechanics because they make me unhappy, even tho I can't understand why they exist to begin with.

and the ol' classic, Nerf this because I died to it.

On mobile so I didn't see your post, relax LOL

Everything is situational though, this thread only spawned because of pre-existing circumstances so changing the very circumstance (ie., "GGG only listens to Reddit so I'll voice my opinion here") that caused it to be posted, makes your hypothetical pretty moot tbh

No,this thread spawned upon false premises.

And you just dodged the question
Bye bye desync!

I lol'd.

Having the chance to "write your mind" in a forum is democracy. The up/down voting system is mob mentality set in function, and brings WAY more destructive elements, than it does constructive.

OT: The Reddit site itself is nightmare when it comes to design, overview AND functionality. Why ANYONE (including GGG) would actually use it, is beyond me. Why GGG continues to post updates/stuff there that they don't post here, is unprofessional at best - and close to idiotic.

- The official forums for some updates.
- Reddit for other updates.
- Another third party site for trading.
- Yet another third party site for game play info (wiki)

I really struggle to see why.

Being able to write in a forum has nothing to do with Democracy.

I'd also argue that the up/down vote system of Reddit is basically Democracy reincarnate. Anyone can vote a person up or down in the thread, effectively making them the lead comment of the thread.

I wonder how many people would downvote that awful thread about Lab that keeps going on and be dragged over and over again by a few lab hater that just keep spewing salt. Democracy FTW if you ask me
heh small part my ass, 97.5k subscribed and 1.7k logged as we speak.

Reddit is far more valuable for build hunters and meta aspects than the forums will ever be, and if the price is to sift through dozens of shitposts, so be it.
