Zero New Skill Gems in 2.6

We dont need new skill gems. I bet no one has played them all or even half. We need crappy ones improved.

I haven't played half the gems, because I don't like a lot of them. Not because they are weak or useless, but because I don't like the concept or functionality of them, and no amount of buffing them will change that. The huge advantage of the skill gem system is they can expand it indefinitely. Very slight adjustments to one type of skill can create an entirely new skill that appeals to different players, and the more skills they add the better the chance of a player finding the perfect skills for them.

It's like saying an ice cream shop doesn't need a larger variety of flavors because it has vanilla and chocolate and not enough customers like chocolate. Making chocolate better isn't going to change the opinions of people who prefer vanilla, and just because vanilla is your favorite flavor in the world doesn't mean the shop shouldn't add mint for those people waiting for it.
Troll thread. You know they gotta test stuff before releasing it, right? You also know they got 3.0 to release new gems among other things. Stop whining and wait for 3.0.

Ya except that ice cream shop has 30-40 diffrent flavors, not 2. I doubt they would add even more because some customers want something new...

For 2.5, all we got, skill gem-wise, was a single support skill gem.

Now, for 2,6, we get... Nothing at all. No new skill gems, support or otherwise.

New skills are very important to the game, by adding new ways for players to enhoy the game. They're far more important, for example, than unique items or threshold jewels, which are far limited both in scope and in acquisition.

Yet, GGG has moved from releasing multiple new skills each league to no new skill gems at all.

This is a big loss for the game and for the players as a whole. I hope 3.0 will come with a significant number of new, viable skill gems.

If GGG is out of idea for new skill gems, just make a "Design a Skill Gem" competition. Most of the entries would be trash, as is to be expected from a free to play game, but at least a couple new ideas would rise to the top.

Maybe they finally stopped listening to people like you aka "more is better" and realized that they have like 20+ useless skill gems in the game and it's time to rework/buff them instead of making new ones?

Case closed.

There's no end to what people think they need is there. If you get so bored I think you have a severe lack of imagination with the amount of skills, passives, uniques and crafting in the game.

What other games out there makes you think they are not giving enough content to keep people occupied?(because I would love to see it).

Your argument of "less is better" is not only ridiculous, it can objectively be proved to be wrong. GGG should not aim to please only players who are happy with anything, they should have better standards than that.

His argument was never "less is better". That was just your poor interpretation of it.
no more skill gems are really needed. reworks and rebalances please.

I would not say no to new interesting supports tho

And no meta shake because they're shitting their pants cause of scrub-standard players.
There should be 1-2 skills ready for 2.6 ...
No Problem,
