I think it is a good thing that it costs more. Previously some people weren't taking the design process seriously enough, now that it costs more hopefully people will take it as seriously as I did.

If you have 1k to spend on a video game, is 2.5k really out of your price range? Shouldn't because if you have 1k to spend on one item in a video game then your financial situation SHOULD be excellent. " No matter if it's for a unique design, food or whatever - when I see the price was raised by 150% it makes me reconsider. Some people also might have paid the 1000$ despite not being rich, but having just enough (money, love for the game, need for an ego boost - choose as many as you want). If you are in a financially precarious situation and the difference between a $1,000 and $2,500 purchase price to design a unique item in a video game tips the balance, you shouldn't be spending the money in the first place. It's also important that GGG at least make rather than lose money on these items, and given the time spent on some of the designs I wonder if that was happening at the $1,000 level. |
