Pneuma, they are not (largely) border state cities. Consider NY. NYC, Queens cty, Kings Cty, Nassau and Suffolk counties are all sanctuary. NY is a border state, true ... with Canada. Philadelphia is one too. It is not a border state only problem.

And certainly if you take "sanctuary city" to mean, as in Scrotie's definition, anything that is skirting federal laws, then every city of every state where Marijuana is anything other than completely prohibited. (Or any city or state that disallows atheists from holding office, similarly.) |

I can understand the concerns about States' Rights in this issue; however, I still contend that officials who refuse to follow the law regarding immigration should be individually charged with obstruction, rather than subject the whole municipality with Federal sanctions. ='[.]'=
