[3.3 Video Guide] Beginner's Guide: Zombie Build "Umbrella Corp Apocalypse Build"

Hi Ghazzy, thanks for the awesome build guide. Have a few questions for you:

You mention in your video that the goal is to go for Eldritch Battery in the skill tree, however I am following your POB link and it doesn't have Eldritch Battery selected in the skill tree. Is this something that was only applicable to 2.6?

Secondly, I'm having a hard time keeping my Undying Evangelist Spectres from act 3 alive. They are dying almost immediately when I step into the map. Any tips on this?

Finally, would you mind taking a look over my char and giving me some feedback? I have a Mon'treguls in my stash that I'll be swapping with my Aurumvorax once I hit level 68. Any other tips that you have as far as direction on my passives/items? I know I've got some work to do but I've been enjoying the build so far. Summoners are really fun in POE when you get figure out the mechanics.

Hey,

My pleasure bro!

The written version is the updated one, the video version for this is not up-to-date as the build is VERY niche I rarely play it since most other builds comes with a better efficiency. That + that I'm not a fulltime streamer (sadly) I don't have the time to update the video footage for all my guides I'm afraid :/

They are pretty squishy if you don't use the "Soul Weaver" ascendancy, they can be switched out for other spectres like the Wicker Man or Tukohama's Vanguard if you so wish. Make sure you watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRwgILNUEQs and check the pinned message in the comments below. That'll teach you everything you need to know about minions and how they work! This also includes how to scale your spectres properly.

Aurumvorax should only be switched when the rest of your gear covers your resistance cap :)

Gear looks alright, you could obviously get higher numeric values on res & life of course and you could later look into buying "Grip of the Council" which will increase your damage output as well!

Why puppet and soul waver instead of commander nad mistress? it gives you much more damage an utility, and makes gearing even easier. also, why not stacking lots of strength?

We are stacking strength, but going for 1k+ is rarely worth it even less so after the VP nerf some time ago.
Regarding Ascendancy nodes it's usually a matter of taste outside Flesh Binder. If you take Soul Weaver you get the assisting help from effective spectres then you don't have that many nodes left to go with, which means you gota chose which ones you'd prefer the most. The guide goes through how I would have done it.

So, what do you think about the Flesh Binder? it 50% zombie health now :O seems like it should be broken for bosses.

only if you build into it. even then casual math suggests around 500k dot dps per zombie death if you have 60k - 70k+ hp zombies

i am curious though . would we really consider this a zombie build if we have a potential 5l spectre damage setup? specters even on reduced links tend to over shadow other minions.

i assume this build clears by shield charging through packs with the solar guards doing their usual thing.

At which point the build inevitably plays much like a classic zombie specter summoner.

Yeah about that... that specific approach is basically playing a spectre summoner with the added single target power of suicidal zombies. Which means I could literally add the suicidal zombies as an additional single target boss approach to my spectre build. So I decided to instead of mixing both versions in to both builds that I focused on the zombie aspects on the actual zombie build. But I see your point and agree :|

Good to see you active in my guides again salty, how you've been? <3

Some mates roped me into ark , but im burning out of that .. again.. that game is run my imbeciles i swear. That and i crushed about a half dozen single player games on my backlog

otherwise just the usual cycle of playing poe getting burned out playing something else etc..

still on the fence for this league tho. i need to sand box if the changes to the zombie slam are enough to drop lycosidae

they added another 100% cd reduction so that brings the slam cooldown to something like .63 seconds if my napkin math is good.

but they also said they made minions attack faster... frankly needing lycosidae is the only thing keeping my ci crit zombie build out of the temp leagues as you kind of NEED that shield slot to pull off umbilicus over energy shield.

so if i can drop lycosidae .. which i hope i can .. then i may roll my stupid 50+ exa zombie build and see where things go from there.

or i may just do specters because they take absolutely no effort from level 30+

especially now that they finally added some bloody sustain to the necromancer tree.
