What's the purpose of bladefall in this build on CWDT? (again trying to learn!) is it procing something I'm oblivious to? LoL

Currently using immortal call, lightning golem, with ele weakness for that extra boss oomph.

CWDT proc Bladefall for extra protection against ranged monsters.
They attack you - Bladefall hit them - you get extra leech until can kill them.

Ahhhh makes sense, a rain of leech arrows!
Since Ruthless no longer works with Cyclone, would Maim be the next viable red socket replacement? Elemental Focus is nice (if turning that red to blue socket) but prevents shock which now works on bosses so there's incentive to not use EF.

Based on PoB it looks like Maim is the next best DPS increase which looks like the increased physical damage also gets calculated into the Phys to Light conversion. Imma do that!

Have mana issues with this build since 3.1 with this tree, for anyone interested in trying out.

Edit: Don't forget to assign ascendancy points to avoid mana issues :P

With Pain Reaver you should be good to go with Mana. If you lack, then it's either your damage is low, or something else. try to grab 0.4% mana leech node in the Vitality void circle

I just looked at your char, Standart characters have passive reset, which you apparently used. You forgot to spec into Berserk passives... Pain reaver provides mana leech.

Hey , Nice build
I like the concept of your build scaling elemental damage from a specific physical damage unique axe
with the idea of using its unique effects.

I was trying to build a similar concept with Kitava's Feast and scale it's Damage with full elemental conversion.

Kitava's Feast because it removes all corpses on hit meaning you never have to deal with detonate dead , and Tectonic Slam because its great new aoe skill that just rocks on juggernaut.

To destroy everything maintaining a super high clear speed without needing to think twice about safety.

because windscream ( it scales elemental damage) + AA+enfeeble dual curse 1 offensive

With the new Rage mechanic plus if you decide to activate Blood Rage it almost spells certain death with VP, or just more micromanaging (get regen flasks, enduring cry if not on cooldown :/ :/ :/). Esp with GGG infatuation with invuln phases on bosses or running between packs of mobs when you cant leech.

With my version of this build I spec-ed away from VP and compensated getting leech from the Hematophagy cluster (I also sacrificed the DPS elemental nodes to do this and picked up other life nodes but 50 max Rage compensates for loss in DPS nodes). Obv nowhere near as good as doubling leech but to me has been sustainable at least. In the end, I do more damage than previously but less survivability. I take a big hit, takes longer to leech/regen that back due to Rage.

Some players might be turned off however as a whole with Rage mechanic entirely and maybe NOT spec into AOC and just pick up the minor DPS nodes. Or abandon Zerker. :(
