I'm confused with how to activate EE. Do I have to shoot them with my bow? If so, is it just a regular shot?

To activate EE, you need to make lightning damage, no matter with attacks or spells.. The most popular use is lightning ball + greater multiple projectiles.. Or if lack of gem slots, just lightning ball or arc (arc have limited chain targets)

Now up to 7k ES, hoping to get better belts/gloves/ring soon. I've done two of the guardians so far but have been attempting to roll another +3 bow for my offhand.

" Nice. Which of the guardians did you do? I did them all recently now in Harbinger and I thought that all but the Minotaur went fairly smooth, but that could've been the map mods as well. I feel with you with the bow. I think I ended up spending around 400c+ on essences before going for I would've loved to have some higher resist rolls and the flat lightning dmg on it, but essences are far too annoying to buy in bulk to make it perfect :( Builds:

So far just Minotaur and Hydra. I will be trying Phoenix and Chimera once I make some more upgrades. Hydra was a lot of dodging but doable. It was my first time doing Minotaur so I didn't know about his underground move and died to that.
Yeah, getting the essences for essence spamming was not an enjoyable experience. Once I get Empower 3 I should be getting more DPS out of this bow than the culling strike 6L. Did you ever weapon swap for culling strike or was it not noticeable with Empower 4? |

" Yep, that Minotaur underground thingy does hurt ;) You should think about swapping out the lvl 2 empower for a Ruthless gem until you can get the empower to level 3 or 4 Builds:

Hey can someone help me out? I don't understand why I'm having trouble breaking 3.4k ES. I'm trying to get a MF build going and I'm super excited about getting this build going but I just don't completely understand it. Have read few the guide multiple times trying to figure out how the hell you got your energy shield so high. Another issue I'm coming across is not being able to cast SRS unless vaal clarity is up.. I saw OP casting it off health I think but i don't see blood magic in his shav. I know the auras is based off of nodes i'm not at yet. Can someone take a look at my necromancer and tell me what my issue is please?

" Using Prism Guardian isn't anything I recommend after the 3.0. ES nerfs. It'll be hard enough to get enough ES. Presence of Chayula is also one of the largest gains of ES you'll get from an item, if you can afford it. Blood Magic you'll get when you pick up they key node on the tree, along with a 50% less mana reserved node. Builds:
