Technical Support - 64bit client crashing on startup - Forum

I THINK I FOUND THE SOLUTION! To those who, as me, couldn't start your Path of Exile 64bits even with every requirement met (DX11 support etc.), I think I found the solution. You just have to do this: " For Steam Users: 1. Go to your Steam Library folder, then access the following direction: "steamapps/common/Path of Exile/". 2. Right click the "PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe", then on the 'Compatibility' section, make sure the option 'Run this software as administrator' is marked. 3. Apply, close it and then try to start it on Steam. For standalone users: 1. Go to your game folder and do steps 2 and 3 of the section above. It may seem funny and too simple, but to me it was the only thing that was not allowing me to open the game in DX 11 version. You just have to do this: I did try it. It doesn't work for me :-( Windows 10, DX12 capable according to dxdiag, 8gb ram. Simply get the message "Pathofexile_x64.exe has stopped working." Game also crashes instantly on start (x64 version). It started properly when I deleted the config in "Documents\mygames\Path of Exile", but if I "apply settings" after selecting "Fullscreen", the game crashes. Don't know if it will help anyone, try deleting production_Config.ini located in C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile non Steam version My game crashes when put into FullScreen mode. But in window fullscreen np except for the crashes every time I change Char. So guys if you want to run this game in 64bit/DX11, delete the production_Config file from your Documents\My Games\Path Of Exile and change the resolution to Windowed Fullscreen!. Fullscreen alone doesn't work. With the new 64bit and DX 11 client game runs like butter !. Steady 60 fps instead of dips to 10fps compare to the 32bit client + the game look slightly better on DX11.
