Fallout 4....the disappontment
Man I just finished it....
It is by far the worst game to come out of Bethesda ever.. A shameless reskin... with some lame minecraft elements added to it...and some new lighting tech on that old ass ugly ass engine... its like they put lipstick on a pig! The quests were just go there kill that copy pasted from one npc to another....all the "factions" had the same quests... The main questline was getting interesting toward the end but guess what...THATS exactly when it ended. So i guess if u were to play only the main quest u could finish the game in about 5-6 hours or even less if u skip the dialogue. How can they make Skyrim and then this garbage ass product is beyond me Last bumped on Nov 16, 2016, 6:08:57 AM

I haven't gotten to legitimately play Fallout 4 except for a couple hours here and there when I borrowed an old ass GDDR3 2gb card from a friend to shove in my girlfriend's case to be capable of running it on ultra low graphics at a steady 45fps while looking uglier than hell but...
I have to agree and disagree on some things. From my perspective, is the "reskin" terrible? No, just could have been better. Modders proved that almost immediately. Shame on Beth but they did their best to try to meet our expectations of bringing out a Fallout title after a long gap since 3 (excluding New Vegas). You have to admit, it is still better than the crap they pull with Call of Duty considering the age of the game engine and what was improved versus F3. They should have waited for a new engine, no doubt, but it still looks beautiful if your setup can handle ultra maxed out, especially when you add in graphic detail mods which I consider an expected part of a Fallout or TES title these days. All bethesda games have short ass quest design and live of "main" gameplay. I honestly rarely ever finished the games as intended and instead get so lost in exploring the map that by the time I should go and finish the main quest, I feel like it is time for a new character. Hell I still haven't finished the main quest in New Vegas a single time (I know it isn't specifically Bethesda that made New Vegas but almost identical game concept). "It's all clearer now

Nah man i finished all bethesda games since Morrowind. And Fallout 1,2 and tactics.
And this garbage IS lazyer than all those games in quest design. And the graphics are garbage...he poly count on characters and facial animations look worse than in 3-4 year old games..they just added better lighting. If you played all theyr games you can tell this is not worthy of the number 4. I had such high hopes for it but it just disappointed so hard. And if u look at Witcher 3, wtich is made by MUCH smaller company and play that all the way through you can start to ask yourself what they did with all the money they made off of Skyrim and Fallout 3. Its the same like POE and D3. U have MAMOTH Blizz vs small GGG. 1 game was total disappointment and 1 exceeded all expectations. |

You can knock D3 all you want but the game's performance is near perfect, and has been for awhile, when GGG has only recently gotten serious about fixing performance issues. Most of Blizzard's games run really well performance wise. Because people demand it.
It's important that competitive games run 60fps all the time on modern hardware. It's important enough where a sizeable chunk of the PC gaming population is willing to scream bloody murder over it if games don't run up to that standard. People don't invest $2000 in gaming PCs for sub 60fps. If I have to choose between graphics or performance, I'll take performance every time. It's gotten to the point where I'd rather play a mediocre game with flawless performance than a great game with poor/sub standard performance. So yeah, go ahead and lump me in the 60fps elitist crowd. FYI, FA4 doesn't run terribly bad, but not exactly great either. There are some CPU bottlenecks even when using the best CPUs on the market. I haven't played it in awhile, but maybe things improved? I think it's better than New Vegas. I thought New Vegas was shit. I ran into so many game breaking glitches in New Vegas that I just quit playing the game over it. I never ran into any game breaking glitches in FA4. Like no major questlines that I couldn't progress in or something over a glitch. Last edited by MrSmiley21#1051 on Nov 6, 2016, 5:57:41 AM

" I understand what u r saying man but u have to consider what u can do in POE and what u can do in D3... POE servers are more stressed beacouse all the crazy things u can do in the game. I was dissapointed that they nerfed CoC so hard...was really looking forward to making a build like that. D3 on the other hand is quite boring since nothing sets builds apart...its just get ur set..slap crit and crit damage and get bigger and bigger crits...all characters go after the same stats and build the same way (with VERY few exceptions). So i rather have a slightly broken but fun game than a perfect running boring game. And i didnt say F4 runs bad its just that it looks like a pig with lipstik on.... thats why i called a reskin of F3.....hell its just a modded up F3 |

Bethesda is just super lazy as always. They can afford being lazy, every game of theirs still sells 20+ million copies.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

True especialy when u make a remaster of ur last game :))))))))))))) Instead of new elder scrolls.
More respect to Ken Levine who after the Bioshock series was done left the company so they wouldnt force him to do the same game over and over again. Todd Howard tho.....all respect gone...remember seeing his smug face when presenting F4..... man it was like he was presenting some new genre defining shit...when he was actually showing minecraft :) |

" My issues with PoE are almost entirely with the economy, and trading. Like 90% of my issues. The game is just mind numbing for people who don't like trading. I was never able to find a way to have fun in this game without trading and flipping items. Because I was never able to acquire any gear to make any of the builds I wanted to play without doing that. PoE is one of those games where I like the core mechanics, the variety of builds, skills, gameplay etc, but hate absolutely everything else about it. And "everything else" amounts to about 50% of the game. And then you have the whole "leagues" dynamic combined with the economy. Everybody gets dumped in standard eventually where the economy is centered around items that don't even drop anymore. This is just another quirk to PoE that I don't like. Leagues aren't the problem. Leagues + economies are the problem. Again, I don't have to worry about this in D3. D3 might not have as much depth (biggest issue with D3), but that's the sorta game I can play inebriated. And I don't have to worry about economies or trading. I just go kill shit and get items. And decent gear actually drops in that game, unlike PoE. Loot 2.0 was the best thing that ever happened to that game. I wouldn't be playing D3 if it wasn't for loot 2.0. I wouldn't have wasted my time if it was the same old PTW auction house bullshit. " Oh yeah? Well Chris says you can play PoE while watching TV, drunk, naked and dipped in maple syrup while sitting on an anthill. Now seriously, you should try playing it sober, it's a totally different game. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" They will fix trade in 3.0. Chrilson said that they will fix a problem that was never fixed in other games of the genre. i'm willing to put money down that he refers to trade. |
