Should "essences" be implemented in the core game?
At least they stack. Talismans took up more room due to not stacking for obvious reasons and they didn't add them.

I hope they will add it in because I have barely played the league, busy playing another game, and when I return to PoE I'd like to be able to have access to it without having an insane price tag attached. I'm not going to lose sleep over it if it doesn't get implemented though.

I dont finde essence of inaf impact to be in the game. So far i only besicly spam them on random items to complite chaos recepy.
Some are intresting but you never gona finde them in game so to actualy make miningful items is not realy gona be posible. As i see, essence is besicly a sistem similar to divination cards, you got so mach junk that is designed to eat stash space. In practice divination cards are alredy so long in this game but im jet to actualy get benefit from them, unles you include 2ex from Brittle emperor in past. This sistem is horible also becouse in feature they can take it as base stone for other and we gona get frustrated with gating of all shit and even more trash to pick up and stash. I'd prefer Essence as a map mod. I'm just not all that excited about it; I played this league as much as I wanted to already.

I hated Essence as a league itself and having to grab 100 different Essences and save them forever in my stash, with the rare exception of the one kind I used on myself, because I didn't feel like trying to sell the rest...
That being said, I loved being able to get some crafts I wouldn't be able to get otherwise (like INT on a belt, since I made a Whispering Ice build) and at higher values. Maybe the solution is to add the new mods to the game, not the Essences nor the Essence Mobs themselves? Not sure, just brain storming. Also, getting one good roll of what you wanted (like INT on my example) is great and improves self crafting (because you get at least that one resis you are missing while leveling, or your key stat while trying to get endgame gear) but if you don't get other good rolls, you still get something useless, like with any Alchemy/Chaos crafting. Still, I'm not feeling them too much. I like the spawns and the fights, except they are a bit loco on vaal skills or whatever they unleash. However, I don't think we need essences. Haven't thought much about them and what they new features they provide. They cluster my already tiny inventory even more and it's another rng on rng on rng system that gives a possible new crafting path to BiS gear. I think they are best suited for low level(mid esssnces need boost they suck while lvling at that time), and early endgame. At low level the contempt makes it much easier to level attack based characters and that aspect of them i can appreciate. They are good for just spamming on whatever, although i think i would prefer just an improved crafting system like the master one we have now. For example no RNG on needing to encounter the masters initially as they can be found in town, more affixes for low level at fair prices. Once you move into the late endgame howeever you can farm a hundred maps and still not complete one of the highest tier essences. I don't need my inventory clustered like that for the 1 extremely unlikely to roll super well chance once in a blue moon, it seems like more clusterfuck and i find it hard to see what the essences add to the player experience, only the spawns i really enjoy those are great i love opening them. Just improve baseline crafting to make it proper instead of half-done, and if that means adding new affixes that essences provide then that is also included. This way "making rares great again", will actually be ingrained in the whole game and not just the lame essence crafts that are so rare with highest tier essences that i can get next to no thrill from it over time as part of my player experience. They should be added in the game like welcome kind of targeted crafting mechanics.
But I would make them rare spawn, appearing only as Wailing + tiers. Current ammount is just to much. Alt Art items as League MTX - When?

remove the 3 bottom tiers ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

I want them in the core game in some form. They really put a floor on the quality of the rare gear you run around with and that's a good thing imo.
