Getting a shavs makes me sad.
|
I don't know what all the fuss is about.
I'd be happy to find a Shavs because its a shavs...not because of how many exalts it's worth. Buying power is relative to the value of goods. The only way a shavs being 5ex vs 80ex makes a difference is if you are wanting to sell that item to get the only item that is more expensive then it: a Headhunter OR use exalts to craft like crazy. If the argument is that it "feels good" to find an 80ex item than really that isn't an argument, but rather a subjective feeling. To me it would feel good to find a 4ex shavs as much as a 100ex one simply because I value the item AS the item itself. Just as casual players shouldn't feel that hardcore players should share their feelings, hardcore players should respect casual feelings as well. I'm not against the game being designed around the "hardcore" all-day-to-play players...but to say that all players should "feel" like them is wrong. Good that you found 5 shavs or whatever...but 99% of the players have never even found one. You sound like a 1%er that is humble bragging about their loot. The game being too easy for 1 out of 5000 people is expected. Get over it. This game is changing so that more people can share the feeling of having cool items. You may not like it. I, for one, am glad that others are getting a chance to finally experience more loot in this game. It's been a long time coming. There are still plenty of chase items that are valuable and a challenge to work towards. Once EVERY item in the game is less than 5ex, we can talk...but that's simply not the case. So your arguments are relatively subjective at best. |

Well I replied to your post but apparently GGG mods decided it was far better to delete the post then it was edit out whatever someone found offensive.

It's better this way , people now can actually afford to play different builds . It's good for the game , cuz fuck trading is all i'm saying .

" Guess what also happened? I quoted it and wrote a pretty harsh reply (Which, by the way, I think your reply was deserving), resulting in my post also getting deleted entirely. But since I read it anyways, I think there's no real reason not to discuss it. So one thing I want to get out the way first: This is my steambound account, which I am using ever since I created it. This is also where I spend my money on. I do have an older account dating back to 2013, which was when I had less time on my hands. So, even if I did not play since closed beta, I know these older days, and can understand as to why finding a shav's now is less of a "jackpot" moment than it was before. And believe it or not, I can understand perfectly fine why people miss these "jackpot" moments when they find a shav's nowadays. I was one of the many players grinding Dominus in hopes of getting my desired item, or being able to trade for them. While I will admit that getting something worth dozens of exalteds was a special moment, and as such somewhat memorable, the downside was a seemingly endless and exhausting grind, repetitive like no tomorrow. That being said, I much prefer the more regular "smaller jackpots" over the "one drop" that may never even have occurred to begin with. And as it would appear this is a preference shared by many others as well. Let alone that there's still the chance of getting the real GG rares, or dropping uniques with perfect stats, the latter being more likely at this point as well. To some degree I can understand that there's something "missing" now, on the other hand I don't see why you would want to make certain items so hard to obtain, that most people who take a closer look at this game are being driven away by the perspective of having to work months towards one unique item (some people can't play 4+ hours a day). What I am saying is that availability of items is beneficial for increasing this game's overall population, and thus its supporter base. Which is a point that -so far- has been disregarded in this context as far as I am aware. On behalf of "missing jackpots", as I said already, GG rares, perfect uniques, those still exist, so it's not like there's no reward for going all out on hardcore-grindng sessions. The jackpots have moved, so to speak. [quote="ScrotieMcB"]It's just, like, people's opinions, man. " GG rares are basically unfindable and perfect unqiues still don't have nearly the value you are thinking they actually have. Jackpot has moved too much, that is the point, there is no feeling of finding anything special now because only T0 items are special and most of them can't even be found in the wild. I'm also glad you thought my whole post needed to be removed, that just quantifies how clearly that your inability to assess the situation is. GGG is far too concerned about hurting your feeling, I'm not you simply lack the experience to give an informed opinion on this situation and therefore can't simply comprehend the situation of me and OP. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" Can you point me to where I stated a perfect shav's is worth about 80 ex? You need to learn not to put things into other people's mouths. Well, guess what: A couple years back, a Shav's was pretty much unfindable for the vast majority of players. Why do you complain about something being too rare (GG rares), while saying that another thing isn't rare enough? You do realize you contradict yourself here to some degree, yes? " Then don't go hunting "in the wild", and grind the appropriate content properly, like the rest of us. Problem solved. " GGG cares about my feelings as much as it cares about yours. Problem? And here we have the "you have no clue, so shut up card" once more. Look, the simple fact of the matter is that people move from one game to another, because there's nothing left for them that provides the feeling of "progress" or "achieving something". And I am fairly certain that is the gripe that you currently have with poe, correct me if I am wrong. This happens in any other game as well, believe it or not. So even if I played this game for only two weeks, I could still understand that this might be a problem for you, because I have experienced it elsewhere. So play your "joker" on somebody else. On the subject of "you can't possibly comprehend what I am saying". How about you stopped playing that card, and instead made yourself understandable? Are you aware that I am not the only person who does not agree on the point you are trying to make? So it's not just me being retarded or utterly dumbfounded, it might as well be you not explaining yourself properly. [quote="ScrotieMcB"]It's just, like, people's opinions, man.

" The drop rate change is not the cause of shavs tanking in value. The cause is div cards. There are 4 sets that can give you a shav. When div cards were introduced shavs were 1 ex in hc. There is more supply now because of div cards so their value got demolished. For example. If Essence league becomes a main game mechanic chaos value will plummet to nothingness. Essences are superior to any chaos orb. Chroniccomplainerreviews.wordpress.com Your source for quality honest reviews to save you time and money!
