Is RT underwhelming?

RT is underwhelming. I don't like accuracy conversion that much as RT was exactly made for not stacking accuracy. Whats the point in converting it for RT then, why not CC or crit multi then? RT should require different kind of gear. Still a good idea.

I instead suggest an op unique such as those of what dozens exist(ed) for ES to make it viable.

As it is now even abyssus helmet is more for ES builds than for life. The whole state of the game is ridiculous in that concern (this is not meant to be related to RT).

RT needs a little damage bonus bonus like "Elemental Overload". Maybe not that huge, but a little bit.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Consecutive hits on the same target boost damage/lowers armor/ect.?

That gives me an idea:

RT already lets you ignore evasion. Why not make it ignore armour as well?
(Your Hits ignore Enemy Armour.)

Or even ignore physical damage reduction?
(Hits ignore Enemy Physical Damage Reduction.)

This would make it much more reliable, without really making it much stronger at all for general clear speed.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

Playing RT right now, using other methods to scale the damage. And while it isn't bad, I could as well use them AND crit, and do better.
Problem with RT is that it gives attacks what spells have from the start. And now that we have Overload, spells can simply take that, and get that juicy damage bonus from time to time (or constantly with Orb of Storms).
I might be wrong, but weapons generally allow higher high-end DPS. This is (I suppose) the drawback of spells having no accuracy check. At least until physical spells started popping-up...
But that aside, to scale attacks damage to such extreme levels you NEED crit. Uou also have to get godly-tier gear in order to do that, since you need to have crit, crit multi, resistances and all other stuff.
Back to RT, and you realize that taking that point effectively strips the only pro about attacks, leaving you with sub-par spells that need good weapon-slot items in order to work. Spells that cannot be scaled with crit anymore... :V
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.
