poe.trade is a major security threat for path of exile player

It's the video adds they always make you lag and they are pretty well known to not be safe.

I'v kinda stopped using the site for the most part too.

This. Aside from the security issues, the side performs horrible with ads, even on better rigs.
Maybe he should implement a donation button for peeps who want support but wont/cant stand that advertisements.

I thought poe.trade was pretty cool until I saw this thread. I use adblock so I didn't see the ads, but this is really terrible. I hope GGG find out about this, and stop promoting poe.trade until it is sorted out. (I know I will no longer be linking to it!)
Or perhaps that someone takes advantage of the situation to set up their own trade website with good ads that can replace poe.trade.

It will be hard to get a better url than that one, though!
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

poe.trade is expensive to run because it's completely filled with bots spamming search queries constantly.

GGG does a really poor job with bots.

Chat channels are filled with bots.
Trade channels are filled with bots.
Poe.trade is filled with bots (set something underpriced and watch the flood of bot spam).

I'm pretty sure things like dried lake are filled with bots too. We're seeing 20/20 gems going for 1-2c, which is insane considering the time/XP required to get 20/20 (i.e. level 90+). Gems are probably being leveled for free by bots.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

uBlock Origin. Nuff said.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Noticed lately that there is a lot of malicious ads in poe.trade now.

I dont even let poe.trade website open anymore on my machine.

I know there is add blocker and I will probably install that extension on chrome but when there is thousand of player playign and using that thirdparty we can't assume they are all protected.

poe.trade as off now pose a MAJOR security threat for Path of Exile player which by using this can get infected by keylogger and all the stuff that can compromise their account security.

What a big fat lie .
this week has been particularly bad for intrusive ads. i have been blocking ads manually on websites that i host. i hope poe.trade have some luck dealing with these spammer bullshit.
I need more purple titles
If there was a proper trading system ingame, we wouldn't even need to have threads like this.
PoE has a beautiful, rich, detailed world - you can really feel the skill which went into crafting it.
The game mechanics on the other hand leave much room for improvement.
Legit concern.
