D3 or Path of exile??

I don't expect to see D3 out until late next year, at least. As a Diablo follower since way back, I will certainly be buying it.

It looks like PoE will beat it out of the gate and I am already anticipating a decent experience with that.

As to which will keep me interested for the longest, that can only be speculated about as they are both "forming in the void", so to speak.

To those who apparently "can not wait" for the release of either of the two games, you need to invest more points in your Patience stat, lol.
I used to be apathetic, now I just don't care.

last time i checked d3 was listed as nov 2011 at work . of course dates mean nothing until street locked , even then they -can- get pushed .

it is getting closer though :)

Obviously both, though I assume that Path Of Exile will be shipped first, therefore i'll play it, if its good I will continue playing it and d3 too, hopefully I will have time :P.
Torchlight 2 is a waste of time, to me.
so these too, both, im looking forward to play.
someone comented that TL2 is a waist ... I understand but the sequel is going to be a huge and open world i think they are listening to the fans it will be more like D3 and P of E just not as dark also Grim dAWN LOOKS AMAZING.
I'll probably play PoE until D3 comes out, and then I'll play PoE more than. I like the grittier environments.

Correct. Leaked Blizzard document:

I have been playing these types of games for about 15 years now since before they turned action lol

so i will play both, torchlight was awful for me, i really dislike the current market that cute and cuddly is good.

Im glad that PoE is looking like a dark and gritty game, torchlight 2 would have to be amazing to get me to even try it regardless of if its an open MMO or even free

D3 is a must for any gamer really, i can live without LAN as its dying out now unfortunately, but low level caps and a very limited skill system does not sound good to me

as PoE is free its no win no loss for gamers and if its not mega popular i would be very surprised

I also hate these shiny cartoon style graphix, personally I blame the asian graphic style influence for that. A good example was Unreal Tournament. By the time they got to the third one I had lost interest - we still prefer to play the original version on LAN. Gameplay is key, gfx comes second but in the case of PoE we shall have to wait and see.

D3 is a given for any long time player of the series as you say, there is always room for both it and PoE in my world :)

I'll try both but I must agree I like the art of PoE better so far, D3 is looking a bit cartoonish.
D3 is gonna rock I'm sure!(blizzard doesn't do half work) it's been too long for a action rpg like that. Titanquest came close though.. Path of Exile looks very good but the experience is all in the gameplay! Can't wait!!
