D3 or Path of exile??

I am totally new to ARPGs and played both this and D3 around the same time, and after spending some time with both.... this game is just much better to me. I will continue to play and support this game because I keep wanting to come back. Diablo started to bore me after a few weeks. I love the customization, currency, and itemization in this game. The map randomization is also great and keeps things fresh after multiple runs. The fact that this game only has two acts and I would still rather play it than D3's four acts seems telling to me.

I just installed and played Diablo 3 again last night, and I'd have to say it's not all that bad. There are some decent improvements done with patches, and even the loot-drops are much better this time around. I'm actually looking forward to the expansion. :)

" And later on PoE will have more acts than D3 has. Dunno if a expansion for D3 would change that though, but PoE is much more capable of adding content to PoE compared to Blizzard and D3. Just because PoE enters open beta, does not mean that they wont improve on the game anymore. They will keep on and on and on patching and adding content to this game, at least according to a interview with GGG. (All of this is free, unlike D3 expansion.) And after closed beta, there wont be wiped anymore unless something goes horribly wrong, which seems unlikely. This prob. means that certain skills might not be buffed or nerfed too much anymore, but since PoE is not about optimal builds, its not a big issue anyway... Unless a skill is completely useless.... Or a skill is so OP that everybody just uses it. (Im a little concerned about freezing pulse, but again, its not really a problem. In D3 it would be a big problem.) Also the constant spam of new unique items is awesome. If they develop on this game for a decade, which they,ve told us, how many unique items are there gonna be in this game? Holy mother of god.... And there will prob. also be a unique item called Holy Mother of god. This game is growing bigger all the time, and it seems it will do that for a decade... Unless something goes horribly wrong. |

And since PoE is most likely to come out much earlyer then D3, i can spend alot of money on PoE befor even thinking about D3 :) |
