While PoE's storyline is kinda weak, one can argue it is weak on purpose...

You heard me mate - PoE's storyline is not about YOU. Whole world doesn't come to you to present itself. You have to explore, look for clues and eventually you might learn something. And to some degree, this is a good thing - not everyone is interested in that stuff. Some people simply play to kill monster. :P
In comparison, D3 is holding you by the hand, so that you don't get lost in its (already simplistic) storyline.

To me, it is like saying that Marvel has the best storylines, because you don't get lost in them and they are presented with pretty graphics. While I don't deny the craftsmanship of it, I can hardly find it as interesting as PoE's lore, which is still full of mysteries.

Yeap and even more so when people say the Paragon System is also good...
People dont realize the Paragon System is why botting is such a huge issue in seasons and why people run Maphacks as well. Its why if you are not doing both of these and playing 15-16+ hours a day in a 4P group you will not be competitive what so ever.

Fully gear in 2 days and spend the rest of the season with the exception of the last 2 weeks farming paragon all day and your bot farms keys while you sleep. At which point 2 weeks before its all over then you fish GRs looking for the stars to align and get the best GR clear you can. D3 progression in seasons in a nutshell.

As problematic botting is in D3, it's nowhere near the same destructive level of botting here in PoE, which is probably more rampant than in D3.



And you can't fully gear in 2 days in D3, that's complete nonsense.

You can fully gear in D3 in 2 days .. easily ... You just have to look at the ladder after 2 days there are people with full geared characters.

As the GRift part is pretty shit and doesnt work with skill but luck, to get a good Rift Layout msot of the high ranks are not about the gear they farmed, but the time they invested in trying rifts.

Last Season first full Ancient geared Character in the Ladder doing a GR90 was after 1 day and 18 hours ... and with the gear he owns other people made GR 105 the season before ... Its all about getting the right Rift layout now ... not gear ... nor skill

Well - bad news! It did. In many occasions. And given that PoE is H'n'S game, it is only for the better that GGG is not trying to forcibly shove the lore down your throat, since most people play for the H'n'S thingy. A choice, if you will.

It's a valid narrative design. Dark Souls does it really well too. Other positive examples are Shadow of the Colossus and Half Life 1 to some extent. As for negative examples, Destiny tried it and failed. There's nothing wrong with spoon-fed story telling if it's good, but D3's is shit tbh.

Fully gearead, ancient, with best rolls, enchants, and augments cannot be done in 2 days. That's total bullshit.


Unless you literally aren't sleeping like ever within those 48 hours, and even then. This is especially true in HC where you have to play much slower in progression.


That's funny, because the same players that are at the top of the Grift ladder are still the same players making it to the top every season. Or is that just a coincidence?

i loved d3vanilla (ok boss are bad fatboy or boobsdiablo ...) but the game was ok, now rip diablo welcome PoE :D

For the craft systeme just try again and again and don't search specific 6mod item and appreciate a succes craft is so good on this game.
