Bear hood helmet. How-to?

Good day. I have to miss atlas of worlds and will probably play again on january 2017. Never seriously touched the microtransactions before, however watching ZiggyDs unboxing video one item caught my attention. The Bear hood helmet. Being an unstable bear-person, I want that. Being a newbie in the cash-shop, I got a question: what's the most $ effective way to get that (is gambling carnage mystery boxes the only way to get it), and is there a risk of it disappearing from the shop(/game?) entirely in the next 4~ months? Would REALLY hate missing out. And no, I have no interest in bear helmet. Only in Bear Hood Helmet

Edit: You might get it cheaper by buying the mystery boxes, but the more you want an item the lower the chances are that you will get it, based on personal experience. I bought a few of the new boxes with no expectations and got bloody pets (Gore Weta Pet, Blood Worm Pet) and was happy.

Never buy the boxes with the intention of getting a specific item. They're gambling boxes and they will give duplicates. You should always decide on a set number to buy up front and not go past that or you'll waste all your coins.

That's what I try to do anyways. This time I fell for the temptation of trying to get specific items and I spent my whole Hydra pack on them. Fortunately this time my last purchase completed the carnage set and I didn't get a bunch of unwanted duplicates. Previous times I went nuts on them I never completed a set and just wasted a lot of money.
