I think you meant 10 skellies, but yeah, minus the spectres, you just described my favorite build. :-) Watching skulls roar from pack to pack destroying everything in sight is my most favorite thing to do in this game. :-)


I get 14 Skeletons from Summon Skeletons (6 base, 6 from passives, 2 from Queen's Escape). Then I drop Vaal Summon Skeletons on top of that, which is counted separately from your maximum. Mine actually drops 32 right now, so mu max is actually 46 all told, but at level 20 VSS summons 36 for an even 50.

Side note: Queen's Escape gives 80% global minion speed, so those flaming skulls are god damn quick.

Love totems. One of my two builds is a dual flame totem.

If you just place totems and run away, yeah, that can be boring even if safe. I use other skills in conjunction with them. And your positioning on the screen is important in relation to where enemies are streaming in and where your totems are to ensure you juggle aggro to the best of your ability.

Don't forger that max skeletons mods affect vaal summon skeletons too and it's possible to get another cast off before they expire. I get six from nodes, two from an Army of Bones jewel and two from Queen's Escape for a total of 10 extra skeletons. My VSS is currently limited to 45 and normal skeletons to 16. Both are level 19. That's 61 skeletons total. With all the duration mods from nodes and Queen's Escape they last over a minute. It's not a problem to get the required 64 kills for a second cast in under a minute.

Was that a reference to my turdnuggets? I don't think they were quite that fast.
Playing my 1st totem build right now as my 1st char in Essence. Hierophant, triple Chieftan Totems. Anything they don't kill in 3s I add dps with Sunder.

I'm enjoying it because it's different from everything else I have ever played in this game.

not a fan of Totems ever since the Spork in Beta... but they are undeniably safe, and a great way of keeping DPS on a boss while at the same time dodging its attacks.
great for HC, as my still-alive Assassin shows.

plus, some of them are actually fun to play.

If you put on your full plate mail, and I throw hundreds of toothpicks at you, you'll basically not feel it.

If someone catapults a whole tree at you, don't expect the Armour to prevent as much of the damage.
