Yes it sucks being in a shitty country (I am from Serbia, and our minimal wage here is lower than the consumer basket for example and minimum pay per hour is barely above 1 euro), but you can't expect others to treat you special because of this.

Thing is you need to get your priorities straight, if you can't afford to spend the money on the game at it current prices and your current situation then try to save up for when you can.

GGG still have to pay their costs in the places that the game is made and hosted, so staff costs have to be paid in NZD, and server costs I believe will be in USD, unless they've moved since Chris posted about the main servers being in I think it was Dallas.

Ehm, car´s are sold to prizes based on the countries income. A Mercedes or BMW is roughly 30-40% cheaper in northern europe.
That´s sure not the kind of solidarity europe-asia need´s, if people argue over a bunch of seemingly worthless data.
You ether sell something or nothing, plane and simple, and poe doesn´t have a invinite lifetime.
Sure, it´s hard to implement fair prizes for evry country, but i dont think it´s impossible.

All of this coupled with the fact that the system almost certainly be abused en mass by players to get cheaper MTXs would serve to lose GGG more income.

When you are thinking only about yourself and what you want its easy to rationalize ideas that seem ludicrous when examined objectively and weighed for the cost/benefit they provide.

I live in America and I don't have the disposable income to buy the MTXs I want, sometimes I get enough to purchase effective account upgrades like stash tabs to support a game I spent 2000+ hours playing. Just because I am poor I am not going to demand special treatment that has the potential to jeopardize the very thing I am enjoying.

This can not objectively happen, no amount of bullshit circular logic is going to get you around that. You either save up and buy what you want or you make due with what you have. Better yet maybe you should put your efforts into more productive social measures to change your country for the better instead of spending it here on these forums. Then again I don't know how much you can do in that perpetual cycle or corruption and misery that tries to pretend is a superpower.

GGG has a different financing model, but out of curiosity, if a Russian player wants to play Diablo 3, does Blizzard give them a discounted price from what they charge Americans?

Feel free to believe in your own reasons for their departure from Russia, but you might wish to do some research about the forthcoming laws. A good starting point would be a company called Private Internet Access or search a little on tech companies leaving due to new "Anti-Terror' laws.
