Russian prices for Russian players.
" So how about Togo? If you are from Togo you would play on the same servers as well. Also many South American Countries or other Asian Countries. If we modify the prices by gpd per capita we would get into very serious issues. Assuming a standard gpd per person of 40.000$ a person from Qatar, regardless of how rich he is would have to buy 3 times as much. While some rich assholes from Zimbabwe would only pay 1/20th. So yeah people would actually have to send in tax reports to ensure that their own income actually is low. PoE is basically worldwide with very few exceptions, and this issue never came up. Also the russia gpd per capita is only a little bit lower than that of greece and actually higher than that of Latvia and Romania two members of the EU. It is also higher than that of Argentinia, which players also play here. " Germany might not be the best example for high unemployment numbers, but exspecially southern europe is. As I mentioned Greek is not that different from Russia and there are less developed eastern european countries like Croatia or Romania which develop quickly, but are still behind russia in wealth. " Well that is an entirely different thing. Honestly I usually only buy things if they are on sale. That way you get the most for your money. |

Bottom line is that the prices for essentials are overpriced across the board.
Keep the goofy armour stuff at $100 US or whatever, but things like tabs should be dirt cheap. |

" That was the best laugh I've had in years. I'm from germany and only one year back there was a big roar because a big discounter only payed 3,5 euro for the night shift of the employees. And now go to some other european countries like spain, greece or bulgaria and tell them that their average joe earns around 15 euros per hour. These guys will rip your balls off and call it a day. I am an american and I can agree with OP.
$1.00= 65 Ruble. For those of you who are having a hard time with this, think of it in percentage of daily earnings. If you earn $10.00 per hour, you make about 67.00 a day for an 8 hour day after taxes (roughly) so 20.00 in points = 30% of your daily income. Russians earn roughly 645.00 Ruble a day if they make 20k Ruble a a month. That's $9.00 a day. So therefore that means to buy $20.00 of points, they would have to spend roughly 220% of their daily income. Disclaimer: I am no economist and this may very well be wrong, but I "think" this is how it converts. |

I agree that GGG can't just set different prices for different countries since that would be exploitable, but in the end, those Russian guys and people from similar places will spend nothing while with lower prices, they would spend something.
GGG is getting nothing while they could be getting something. Last edited by Raudram#2463 on Sep 3, 2016, 3:13:12 PM

Lol of course its the Russians that will come onto the forum and request to be treated differently out of all the people in the world. Before you grab your pitchforks and torches I was born in Russia and lived half of my life there. That being said I detest this kind of attitude and a lot of others that they have in a global online space. Just because your country is shit does not mean you need to make others do extra work and introduce systems that can easily be abused as well as overall leading to the maker of the game losing money.
On another note if you don't make enough money to spend on the game maybe you should consider your primary needs first like an adult. God, this attitude that you need special treatment and gaining the system in every way you can to get what you want even if it causes it to collapse really makes me sick. Also any time I revisit the country its more expensive to do anything there than it is in America, no one is adjusting their prices for your shitty standard of living so I have no idea why the hell GGG would at all. The fact that Garena failed is a pretty clear indicator of just how viable the Russian market is, so don't rationalize that if they just lowered their prices they would be showered by wealth from the Russians. It ain't gonna happen either way. ~ I am Wreaclast middle class and proud of it! ~ Poor investment =/= entitlement to compensation. ~ Build smart, build S-mart! Well the request isnt bad, but they either do it for all countries in the world or for noone at all. Russia isnt special to get seperate deals.

" Two things: 1. It's highly unlikely Garena closed shop in Russia due to economic reasons. Much more likely are the new data retention laws being introduced, which have already caused a foreign company closures. 2. PoECIS had lower prices than the International realm. The main consideration, for making purchases in a foreign currency, are the exchange rates. Right now, Due to the current oil prices and the sanctions being imposed on Russia, a single dollar costs 65 rubles, two years ago it cost 35 rubles. In the same time Russian incomes have remained the same. Fortunately, GGG have made the purchase prices available, for CIS players, in rubles. Last edited by Kellog#5737 on Sep 4, 2016, 1:50:04 AM
