I wasnt overly bothered by the coc hit tbh. 500ms seems too harsh, I feel like 350 or so would have been better, but Im going to wait to have a play with it first before making judgements. From the video it looked ok.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

What I don't like about it is that multiple spells and EE seem mandatory now.
I don't mind the amount or the nerf itself as I was advocating it for a long time, I mind the method and the worst thing about it from my standpoint is that the skill gem isn't attack speed aligned anymore. That's loss of identity there, extremely bad in my book. Same happened to CoMK, it worked well with big hits because it's harder for spells to steal kills from you that way. Clearly strength aligned, you try to get as many kills as possible from one hit and get a big payload - very nice. The whole thing just has no flavor anymore. Yeah killing solo trash mobs in a fairly low/mediocre level map is not a good dps-check.
But discharge needed a nerf for years. And CoC killed parties for too long. The only reason I never used discharge is because it hurts my eyes and no good alternate skill effect (if any at all). Make a copy of my character. Its geared to the teeth. If it can still kill uber with some adjustmen than we are good here. Showing trash mobs is like saying a soccer mom can play in the olympics.

"Which is also a performance hit in the game" LMAO. So they basically are nerfing CoC because their game engine cannot handle it. Haha, so they nerf a skill's mechanics because of their own engine. The downfall of POE at it's finest, what's next? Oh that's right, time to nerf Mjolner now too because it lags and has a negative "performance effect" towards our game. As I said, it's time for a new engine. David Brevik (still alive) -- and the ex-D2 dev that recently passed away would be rolling over in their graves right now. from my pov it's look slow, i don't know the real damage, but it hasn't anymore the flashy impact of what was CoC.
The gorge showed here is the T 13 AoW one. He say that the boss was not "balanced" to show the fight. idk if I"ll play it like that. Of course I'll try it right after patch. Anyway i don't have really understood how the attack speed impact on the skills casted. We have to reach high speed treshold or need to be slower than before ? ... nothing
