PoE is a complete casualfest
I believe everybody has the same complaint. PoE has gotten too easy and something must be done about it. I thought GGG would fix this with the new expansion, but the only thing we get instead is ridiculous rare items which blow away even t1 uniques. No talk about making the game more difficult or incentivizing the already hard content.

You make more money marketing your game to a larger audience.
GGG over the years has seemingly lost touch with it's orignal/hardcore playerbase, in favor of making more MTX bux by appealing to people who wouldn't even give PoE a chance in it's 1st year or two of release. It pretty much always happens, for example what S2 Games did to HoN, and savage etc... |

PoE is easy in the sense you can pick up any random build and steamroll the game to level 80. Getting past level 90 at any reasonable pace is VERY hard because you actually have to worry about deaths.
This is exactly the game should be. enjoyable from start to finish and challenging past the level 90 threshold. IGN: Arlianth

It's possible that they're still making the game they want to play, but their wants have matured. They definitely viewed themselves as hardcore 7 years ago. Perhaps now they think it's not so edgy to lock a new shiny sword behind 1,000 hours of grinding, and think that putting behind 200 hours of grinding is better. As people get older their perception of time changes. What seemed like a great, hardcore experience to 21 year old Chris may seem quite different to current Chris.

The type of challenge that presents itself leveling post 90 isn't exactly exciting or requiring much I don't know the word? sought after skills?
Aside from racing to 100 at the start of the league which only maybe 0.0001 of the population is even in contest of leveling itself is extremely easy or hard as you want to make it. I think when people ask for difficulty they are asking for difficulty in all aspects of the game, in ways that for instance reward players for tackling difficult objects instead of grinding easy content at lightning pace to level. Of course I don't have the answer for this. |

" I agree and disagree. Poe is a casual fest of easiness, but rares have been needing a buff for a long time. As a top-tier crafter, the influx of 'tier 1 godly build enabling uniques' has completely undercut and eroded the market for crafting. I look forward to actually investing into crafting and getting a return. |

So? It's a game. Why so serious about who enjoys it?

" disagree, just started that SSFHell-challenge(basically no currency allowed to roll anything) and game is hard, real hard. just kidding, i had to pick Scion and ST to make it harder.. xD Seriously speaking, alched T11+ maps are hard(by that i mean the spikes&combos that could rape most builds) but luckily no one is forced to play them.. and this is the thing that in my opinion should change. But what can be done while keeping most of the players happy?? -keep it easy to get level 90 (as is) -90+ should mean that your xp in yellow maps sucks hard (id say make it -50% less than now) -puff xp gained in red maps slightly -since packsize is still the way to go, pair packsize with things like monstercrit, -max, added as xx, the real scary stuff -remove +levels from lockboxes, nerf/remove ilvl84 items from uberlab(it's 75 goddammit) d:-D*
