Just a Small Rant about Rampage Challenge

So my girlfriend and I just got done with our second attempt to get the rampage challenge done. The first time we had shit luck and there was a big enough gap in the sea witches in a gorge to fuck us over at 890 kills.
Second time in a monstrous treasure dry peninsula, the game froze and I somehow got the 1k and my girlfriend standing a screen away had 973 when her client froze and she got nothing. We have single handedly wasted more currency on this challenge than any other bullshit this league. Our poor alteration orbs. " Need some? :P I can hook you up with another Gorge. The freezes are terrible. Full sympathy. I've lost some Sacrifice sets to DCs and all that. Not to mention that HC is pretty much unplayable to me because of how terrible games runs for some leagues now... :/ Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.

Well, 4 more monstrous treasures and 10 chaosish of currency later and I am sure the game literally won't let my girlfriend get 1k. Strand map got to 950 and lagged so more mobs couldn't be reached. Next few maps would get to the lower 400 500s freeze and lose the rampage. We give up. See if this piece of shit game will let us actually get our fucking monkeys tomorrow.

A cheap way that worked for me:
Rolled Sea Witches on a Mountain Ledge map. Ran trough the map first without killing anything to aggro them all into starting to spawn the adds. Returned to the beginning of the map and started killing. The only extra I had with me were two quicksilver flasks. I got the achievement about 3/4 into the map. The counter stopped at 1000 and I went to sell stuff. When I got back into the map, I got it to about 250 again without even trying so - I did have mobs to spare. :-D I chose Mountain Ledge because I actually just wanted a test run to see how far Sea Witches alone would get me. But others got it there, too, so it's definately a map to give it a try. Game freezes are a whole different story, though... Exit, pursued by a Plummeting Ursa. wasted over 100 alterations trying to get sea witches on a mountain ledge, nothing. tried the prophecy to get sea witches on gorge and mountain ledge, too few monsters.
-- also getting client crashes now, about 4 to 5 in the last few days, that never happened before. for me it happens mostly when bigger monster groups activate. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Sea witches on Mountain ledge worked fine for me. Out of 3 maps I ran or saw run, 2 had over 1000 monsters, no weird spawning tricks or anything either.

I have yet do do that challenge, but I think it might be a bit easier with my assassin that uses wyrmsign to do it in dried lake.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

I don't hunt challenges but this one seems interesting and not very hard. I had more than 900 in a rampage kill streak in dried lake using a dancing derwish therefore with sea witches I think it's almost impossible to not get it.
