[3.17] The Warchief | [Facebreaker] Ancestral Warchief | Uber Boss Farmer | Beginner -> Expert

I'm probably going to use this for my starter (and maybe finisher) in Delve. The Vaal Ancestral Warchief gem is going to probably make clear speed much better.
this is my league starter and ive fine tunned this to be able to faceroll shaper and farm uber atziri early, i skipped the potent vaal league but i will be playing delve and i am gonna take this even further with herald of purity and some new gear i can try out.

there are some other options i want to try, hybrid totem/minion based off guardian with the 10% MORE damage new passive. and overall buffed minion damage nodes

or...berserker again, and i am leaning towards berserker since there is really no point in having minions around if your totems can down uber atziri split phase in 1.5 seconds anyways.

to fine tune the herald i am probably just gonna use it and have even less life... the only other option is to use it with a essence wurm but you lose too much damage and resistance comopared to a good steel ring.

there is also vaal ancestral warchief lol

the lvl req is still 16. but after you placed skill gems in it, it shows the lvl reg of the skill gem instead of the lvl from the item ;) and because my skill gems are so much leveled it shows them at lvl 70 :)

Just coming to say, cool guide!

Never played much AW totems; felt too slow. The new Vaal AW looks like it could really speed up gameplay though, so really excited!
Have you taken a look at Unnatural Instinct?

There's a couple potentially interesting locations (from TheRat on somethingawful)

Near Totemic Mastery:


42% twohand phys, 5% mana, 3% reduced mana cost, 24% totem damage, 5% totem attack speed, 10% totem life, 10% totem phys mitigation

would take away the totemic mastery node (16% increased totem damage, totem life, totem duration and totem placement speed), but it'd also give you 4pts to spend elsewhere

Above Sentinel:


18% allres, 20% duration, 34% melee phys, 40% totem duration, 15% totem placement, 5% attacktotem, 3%cast totem,4% block chance

It'd take 1 point + 3 points reallocation from Totemic Zeal to get this one, and we'd lose 30% increased totem placement speed, 6% totem cast speed, and 10% totem attack speed.

good point, totaly forgot this jewels. i will take a look at it. but atm i think the seccond spot u mentioned is better than the first one because it gives us a lot of bonus like res, dmg, block etc. besides that i think Totemic Mastery is too much QoL to not take it. the Totemic Zeal could be a worthy tradeoff

i will anyway update the build while playing Delve League because of the new Herald, Warcry notes etc. its better to test it ingame to see whats realy best rather than just theorycraft

what do you think about picking up the minion nodes and spiritual command and spiritual aid. PoB seems to indicate a pretty big dps increase, i dont know enough about the game to realy dig in and see if its worth the points over something else though, just seems like a prety solid cluster of nodes without many dead nodes.

dont think its worth because we dont have infinite points :D so the only 5 points you could give up for that would be the way to Retaliation and imho these are better than the minion notes

i think im going with essence worm and purity + tukohama + brutality.
i dont like mana at all on marauders.
