GGG, why have you nerfed endgame map XP so hard?

If you take your time and READ my posts, you would see that it's not ironic at all. I've leveled several characters past 90, some live, some deleted. But every time I level past 90, I get to a certain point where I just don't have the time and motivation to keep going. Maybe like you. But I'm OK with that. I know that a lot of people DO have the time, and they need something to "achieve" too.

100 isn't meant for me and my available play time. That is cool. Reaching 99 in D2 were close to impossible (in my eyes), I was OK with that too. I'm a freakin' casual, why the hell should I achieve the same things as hard core players do, who dedicate 8+ hours a day to play PoE?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Because the balance team is so far out of the loop. I wish Chris did the balance again, he shares much similar ideas that most of the player base does.

It's imo okay to make lvl90+ extremely grindy. Just not through the imbalanced and improper way it is implemented for years now.
Maps are very imbalanced and having to spend currency to run maps is also something I personally really hate. And then as an added bonus we have to mathematically calculate everything all the time (they made the math easier with packsize and all but it's still very complicated and annoying)...

Why would I go from 90->100 if it just requires me to figure out what maps are broken this league and what mods may be imbalanced again and calculating my xp penalty and spending currency on rolling/buying maps and etc. Leveling 90 --> 100 always costs more than you get back (when solo) and feels unrewarding for just a few passives and gives me a bad feeling every time I complete a high tier map but get no maps in return. It kills the fun fast and hard for me.

Some maps simply are known for having crap return-values and other maps are just broken xp-wise (total xp or xp/hour) and a few leagues back we even had to calculate the optimal mods for each map (god that was terrible, all those spreadsheets).

Personally I just try to get 36-40 challenges and I'm done, I don't care about mapping because the whole mapping mechanic itself is just absolutely terrible to me personally.

Anyone remembers speed-running unrolled T1 maps for max xp/hour? Anyone remember the massive spreadsheets for rolling T11+ maps? Anyone remembers the Shipyard map having an epic return value due to breakables? Anyone remembers the lvl 77 volcano giving less total XP than map many tiers lower? Anyone remembers that feeling when you just ran 5x 100+iiq T13-15 map and not a single map > T8 dropped? And now the T8 maps seems to be unbalanced. And the map-tiers are still total nonsense because lower tier maps can still give better xp than higher tier maps, It's not just the T8 maps. I hate it all... Everything about the mechanic feels unrewarding and it involves too much math (aka finding the imbalance again). I'm so tired of it!

I'd like to seen infinite maps, maps that scale with level, maps that do not require currency to roll/run, maps that feel rewarding no matter the drops. And a better LFG/LFM system. I'd like to see an endgame system that can keep us hooked without throwing in challenges with 'trophies' to keep us playing. The grind to lvl100 must be fun. Please?

I completely agree with you, ESPECIALLY the LFM/LFG. It's so bad, the game is FUN when you play with other people. But it's so EASY to play solo and HARD to find other people to play with.

How is that not ironic again? It's not so much the time investment as it is the currency investment required. If red maps were easily obtained and maintained, sure. But as it stands the xp nerf only further distances players from realistically advancing.

Eh, honestly it's fine. Look me up on any SC ladder.

They just need to revert the 2.1 nerf to red tier maps and decrease xp in yellow tier maps even further and the grind will be right where it should be.

I don't disagree with that.

Yes. Thanks. This is exactly what I want.

I don't understand why they don't already do this? Look at Bakedchicken stream, doing 45 sec jungle valley clears over and over. I'm done with this game if this is the way it's going to be. I'd rather watch paint dry than speed farm jungley valleys.
