GGG, why have you nerfed endgame map XP so hard?

Hi,

I've played PoE for years now. Currently at 4k + hours. I enjoyed when we got new tiers of maps. No longer did we have to farm 78 maps. The new tier 15 maps were very expensive, but also extremely lucrative in terms of experience gain and valuable 84 items.

I just did a 30% pack size Conservatory tier 14 map at level 92. Total gain: 2% xp.
Was you reasoning for nerfing xp gain, that too many got to level 100 too fast? You know the streamers and ladder pushers don't play like I do, they chain best layout maps for 12 hours straight. What you have done now, is to punish players like me, who don't like to chain 100 maps in a day, but rather clear some very hard tier 14-15 maps.

Why do you implement new tiers of end game maps, and then nerf the xp to oblivion? Why do you let the 84 items be found in lab? I don't understand what you guys are doing. It seems to me you are doing your best to take away any incentive for me to enjoy this game at end game. I've never reached level 100. Nor is it a goal for me, but since the streamers and ladder pushers could get to 100 fast, you had to nerf xp so hard that I don't want to play.

You realise the problem is not tier 11-15 maps? But the fact that the ladder pushers get more xp/hour doing tier 8 maps. So why don't you nerf the xp high lvls get in those maps and make it worthwhile to do end-game maps xp wise. I've spent 4k hours + and probably 1000 dollars on you guys cause I trust you and think you make a good game. But this bullshit change in map xp is outright stupid. And you know the funny thing? The ladder pushers and streamers who probably forced you into this, are not even pushing ladder anymore. They don't even play. Who do you care about? Ladder pushers or stable people like me who continue to spend money on you guys and play for fun, aka not my job as a streamer.

They are total stupids like in the other games.. They build a very complex good game, and they fuck it in the last step at the finish.. The developer leaders simple cant, handle the game when theyr ready with it.. They must raise the level penalty harder + erase the softcore fucking league.. and put serious rewards if someone reach the lvl 100.. Without this changes this game going down day by day..

The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

I don't understand this entitlement towards reaching level 100?

Reaching level 100 is a "luxury". Every single content in this game, can be beat at level 90 (or less). What they're saying with this "nerf", is: "Reaching level 100 is ment for the dedicated players". Let the dedicated players have something to achieve.

How many of you reached 100 in D2?

Well, they can still hit 100 quite fast. Maybe 10 days now. Point is, it's more efficient to do the best layout maps no matter if they are tier 7 or 9 vs. tier 15. They kill every incentive to do the end game maps now.

Why would I even care about getting the best gear anymore? There is nothing to gain from doing tier 15. 84 items? Go to lab. xp? Go chain canyons.

Please revert the xp changes or at least make it worthwhile to do t14-15 maps. I don't care if you make it super hard to get from 99-100 but it should at least be valuable to do tier 14-15 at level 92. As it is now, I SHOULD chain canyons / dry pens / dark forests etc.
+1. Good news is Chris has said they will address end-game in next patch and most of patch is dedicated to end-game so I have great hopes GGG will work thier magic. In meantime like you said 14-15s are a waste of time - chain gorge & plateau for most exp hr.

lvl 98-99 12.5 mil per hour = 23 hours
lvl 99-100 10 mil per hour = 32 hours

PoE has nothing like end game than level up to 100.

All maps can be done with character below lvl 90.
You've won. You got a character to the point where you're complaining about having to play. That's when the end credits should roll.

Yeah, which is why the xp nerf sucks. Of course you could make another character once you hit 90 or so, but leveling, especially when you've done it numerous times already, is also tedious. To keep players going, you have to make it feel like something worthwhile is in sight, whether it's the next level or a sweet item, and that feeling is limited by the xp changes and this league's offerings (don't get me wrong; there are some cool new items to collect this league, but it's not as easy to buy what you want as it was in Perandus, and I'm getting the sense that people are burning out quicker this league).

Now people have more excuses to not go past 90, it's good for the game.
