I can also agree that the forums aren't exactly wonderful as well. They got better back when the forum moderators became more strict about inappropriate posts, but it seems like after complaints about heavy forum moderation many things that used to be "[Removed by Support]" aren't anymore: personal attacks and uses of a certain word being the main ones I see. I'd like to see the forum return to being strictly moderated, as they were much nicer to visit during that time.
On the plus side, at least the forum doesn't have an upvote-downvote system. This means wading through the junk you do find actual discussion in certain threads due to the difference in opinions. On Reddit this will generally be downvoted or contained to its own chain of comments, which reduces the value of differing opinions/ideas.

Same. The more strict forum was a lot better. Trolls where constantly on probation and banned. Now you will often see same people posting and start shit up, where GGG needs to jump and edit their crap, and than for who knows what time put those same people on probation for bad behavior. If they where strict , as they where back than, this trolls would be banned by now, and the forum would actually be a lot better place, where people could give nice feedback without the need to go through all the shit posting and thread derailing.

It seems you are not aware there are entire class sections with tons of build guides, some of them extremely detailed with people putting in a lot of work and meaningful discussions in the many guide pages. Bada_Bing and KorgothBG have compiled and maintained build guide indexes over the years.
There's also gameplay discussion with solid discussions and helpful and knowledgeable people. From what I've seen, raics, viperesque, vipermagi, neversink, antnee and others have done more good work there than the entire reddit forum. Your mistake is understandable, you only seem to stay in general and feedback to troll and spew vitriol so you might have missed the good parts.
Youre a great example of why this forum is cancer. Classic copy pasta "youre a troll" response because you cant argue against it, you literally give one example whilst ignoring the vast amount of shit posts (many of your posts included). Clearly you never frequented here before SOTV when the forums were actually useful.
Build forums ? Build forums are for people who cant make their own builds. I guess its no surprise that the build forums may seem "helpful" to players who copy and paste meta builds like yourself though.
This forum has done fuck all in comparison to the reddit especially when it comes to tools and actual mathematics, youre soo fucking delusional its actually hilarious.

P.S - Its not a generalization when you can go through the forums first hand and see all the cancerous whining posts which make up the large majority of the official forums thread posts these days.

P.S, P.S - Many of those build guides are gathered from posts from the reddit and many of the useful posts made to the official forum are x-posts from the reddit.

You just have to glance at "General Discussion" for a few seconds to see that 90% of the threads are like this.
