Guys, you have got to deal with reddit

Reddit sucks. I absolutely hate it. I only visit when the servers are down or something drastic happened in the PoE universe, and I only do that because the devs here use reddit first to respond to the community. And that sucks.

I love GGG, but if there's one thing I hate about the company is this usage of reddit as a primary form of up-to-the-minute communication.

Why can't GGG and Chris drop damn reddit and start using their own forums and website?

because more people use reddit, its faster and simply has a better platform. it also got a mobile app.

if you want to reach alot of people really fast-> reddit is the way to go, if you like it or not.

and there is also the arguement that a lot of people whould be just as "mad" as you if they suddenly decided to use the forums instead of reddit.

Reading the post by the guy who calculated how "negative" subreddits were would have avoided you getting downvoted. It literally was done by looking at what words were used often and if they were "negative" words, it's not surprising a game about killing monster and such would have a lot of "negative" words in it, the MMA subreddit was 5th or so and its about fighting so also not surprising the list looked how it did.

Faster?

Nope, Reddit is slower to load than the PoE forums. The proof is in the load times...


Mobile App? Ha! That's for computer neophytes. You can view any website you like in a browser on a mobile device, and Grease Monkey will display it any way you like. Apps are for people who want to have their mobile devices run their lives with notifications all the time.

And personally I could care less about the latest drivel in reddit these days. When there's an update to PoE or issues with its servers, I'll either know about it, or I won't care until I'm ready to know about.
