0.9.13 (Closed beta) was more balanced, and funnier
" I guess you're not the only one (=same here). I was keen on playing a low life character with PA but obviously PA was rendered obsolete with the OB and I'm never going to do that with the balance of the game right now. Builds or passives/keystones killed: - PA RIP - Vaal Pact RIP - "on low life" RIP - CI Melee RIP - CI usability RIP - ES gear usability RIP - Spark RIP - Discipline usability RIP - and so on ... All in all, too many RIP's. The only thing that remains is "Weapon Elemental Damage". Don't nerf it, seriously! Joined 07.08.2011 as Arebor Last edited by Zagharos#5532 on Feb 22, 2013, 7:00:28 PM

Yeah I agree, and it's questionable to see for example CI over-nerfed (I agree it was necessary to balance it, but like this ?) because it was too popular&effective while BM avoided any balance since it's creation (and seriously, it's the most popular&effective keystone ever). And some other things but if I begin it will looks like an H***** rant parody ^^

" Quite hilarious line it is, very well put (!) "This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"

" PA (and related "on low life") was never "great", and if anything got a lot better thanks to chaos resist. Vaal Pact isn't dead, or close to dead. CI caster/melee is mostly dead because of the reduction in ES reachable, not because of the CI change. I highly expect es values/sources to increase in the future. ES gear and Discipline are exactly the reason, and all 4 of these are related. Spark isn't dead, wtf. |

" Nah, Hardcore are the whiny, self-entitled, overly puffed up ragequitters who must win the game using the cheapest methods possible. At least that's what League of Legends taught me what Hardcore players are. Here's the thing. Skill in this type of ARPG doesn't matter as we don't have the tools to actually MAKE it matter. For example, let's take the God of War PvP game. You, the player, are given a toolset that everyone else has. A block/parry, a dodge, a jump and several differing weapons built on similar stats. Skill matters here because everyone else can do what you can. Outside of special cases like the highly situational Magic spells of the God you're following you can't really do anything else. And the Magic spells need to be charged, so it makes them rare abilities, not to mention you can avoid them, using your base toolset. But in PoE, you don't have any of those tools as default, you have to find them (if you solo and don't trade) or beg for the proper tools from other people. Everything from slotted gear to active gems is what makes your little character uber. Not how fast you react to a charger, or an overpowered smash from a boss, but your gear and in game powers are what matters in the end. This game doesn't require skill, it requires perseverance and luck, or being able to put up with some of the rabble gaming with you and more luck. |

" Did you literally bump a 29 day old thread with that? Do us all a favor and bitch slapp yourself. When a banker jumps out of a window, jump after him, that's where the money is.
