You're nerfing shit within mid league.

Not sure if people actually considered that the nerf for Shield Charge was aimed at mobs, not so much at players.

My concern is that they already know not even a week into the league that they nerf CoC... why didn't they do it at the start. They must have known already that it is too strong, since it was unchanged and I doubt that those few days created any data that wasn't avaible from perandus.

when i read this, i feel good about my burning arrow char, it isnt going to be nerfed at any point :D

Honestly, people likely thought the same about Sweep :P But since Heges introduction it was a melee skill that got actually used... so it had to be nerfed :>

PS: The discharge change was a consistency change... you could again argue about the timing, but it isn't really a straight nerf or buff, they just wanted to make AoE skills behave consistently, which normally is a good thing, it just looks odd, considering how strong Discharge is with CoC.

perandus mobs were nerfed within the league too, as was izaro, and Im not even finna talk about previous leagues that had plenty of mid-league nerfs to pretty much everything possible

so let's not pretend its a novelty or a significant precedent. it's not.

The nerf isn't big, but it's still a nerf. At the beginning of a league. Really? This thing was so OP and failed balancing testing that you need to nerf it mid-way through league?

I didn't see spark getting nerfed during league, didn't see bladefall mines getting nerfed during league, didn't see VMS getting nerfed during league.

Somehow Shield Charge is an even bigger problem than these skills were? Lol.

When you make a patch that nerfs a melee skill and then BUFFS Discharge - the balancing looks stupid.

This is the kind of balancing I would expect from some 16 year olds making their first game in a garage - not GGG.

QFT, especially the bolded part. Obviously anything melee that even begins to approximate being good gets fucking stomped on pretty quick.

It's not a 13 week development cycle, it's a 13 week supporter-pack cycle.
You can play any build you want, as long as it's the current meta.
Wait that is actually true LOL Melee is fucking GARBAGE compared to a ranger like there's no question about that.

The fuck are you smoking? That change undeniably buffed the skill. 50% more pack clearance.......

he was saying the change wasn't done to buff the skill. It was done for consistency purposes.
It was done for Consistency eh?
Thats the funniest fucking joke I've heard in a while. In what ways is CoC/Discharge consistent with the rest of the game?

It's a discharge change, not a CoC change.
They did not say that CoC was consisten or in a good place, they actually just said the opposite, it will be reworked or something in 2.4.0.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
When >90% of Discharge gems are supported by CoC its COC/Discharge matey.

They said it would be "getting some love". Well that means 2/5 of sweet fuck all because it's been "getting some love" for the last several patches now.

Its like they have no idea what its going on on their game. The moment a melee skill reaches the same level of clear speed as a ranged one it NEEDS IMMIDIATE NERF, yeah, while the league is already in progress too, yeah, right, cause nerfing the actual cullprit is never a good idea. Who the fuck is your balance team? Krusty the Clown, Homer Simpson and Philip J. Fry?

Ofcourse it was obvious that shield charge would have been tweaked in some way, but doing so while the league is in progress is beyond stupid. Isnt your policy NOT TO TOUCH skills mid league? WTF forced you to change your tactic this time? Nerf it ok, but AFTER THE LEAGUES ARE OVER. Like in talisman 50% of the casters were using bladefall but the nerf came after. And melee options are way worse than spellcasters. FFS

Remove Discharge from the possible spells that CoC can trigger, then buff Discharge as much as you want. Better yet remove CoC from your game, it destroys it because you are incapable of balancing around it.

This is one of the most ridicolous things i have ever read in 2 years here

Who cares of those poor noobs that cannot gain a decent mana sustain, and uses coc as a "free mana exile granter", huh? You know, those that uses those sub par 3-5PCs cyclone discharge builds with ridicolous single target damage, without any voll amulet (is AMULET that makes discharge strong, and costs 20 exalts if you are lucky).
Who cares of those that, after spending one exalt for a 5 link voll protector, still clears slower than a 4 link self found non crit Arc, huh?
Who cares of those poor guys that simply have fun seeing many spells on screen, but that pidgeon holes themselves with Gmp fireball/arctic breath, having sub par damage due to Gmp less multiplier, shotgun nerf, mobs resists and mob's high life, huh?

Following your "theory", then we should ask nerfs even for mines/traps (super powerful even in a 5 link 1 chaos armor)

If was i a dev, instead of removing Coc from the game, i would remove YOU from the game. With a permanent ban. Because YOU are seeking to ruin the fun of other people. and, side note, i play not Coc, i play self cast non crit Arc Trickster, so i'm not defending my builds
