Yeah maybe so, i spent like 21c on these and figured i had better keep it for now.

just a little reminder: this league again, howa is very meta. int crystal belts are far and away BiS for howa. therefore, if you craft a good int crystal belt with good stats and WED on it, you better sell it instead of rolling over it. WED has no value to WI, but it increases the value of the belt tremendously for the howa folks.

Is it possible to start casting on the statues when you can identify them and still kill uber atziri easy?
I can't equip sibyl's lament because i need the res on my 2nd ring.

Yes, just a little more risky. With any other class I look above the head of the front statue, you can see if it's holding the mirror or not pretty early. If it does then target the back statue. And start casting.

When you pre-cast before they appear they die before doing the Stormcalls. If you wait till you can see them then they do the Stormcalls and you have to dodge them. You can survive the Flameblast easily with PoF, AA and flask, but Stormcalls can 1-shot you if you don't have lv 4 Enhanced curses and 30% Enfeeble enchant. So it's not as safe as pre-casting but still not really dangerous. You can see the red stormcalls thru the Icestorm ground just fine.

It's a good leveling helm. Lv 39 makes it perfect for the latest version with the switch to CI at lv 39 with Icetomb. I'm going to add it to the leveling guide with the next update.

However, it's just a temporary placeholder for Black Sun. The math on it was done long time ago, and I remember that by 1500 Int Black Sun was already clearly better. But I was talking to another player today who was still leveling in the 80s and had 1312 Int with a 12% Black Sun and a tight budget. I suggested that he should try Doedre's Scorn for now, he got an almost perfect one for something like 2c. And that resulted in a loss of Int AND ES AND tooltip. So the threshold of Scorn's usefulness is somewhere around 1300 Int, but by 1400-1500 Black Sun is clearly superior.

And the increased damage per curse? It's Increased, not MORE, so it's not a big deal to start with. But you don't even have 3 curses until lv 85 (unless you take Whispers of Doom before US, but that's just unsafe in high tiers). And you don't need 3 curses until the endgame. And if you level while working your way thru the Atlas and upgrading your gear, then by the time you get 3 curses you are already over 1300 Int.

0 Int = worthless to this build. Or HOWA for that matter. Good for some other build that doesn't care about Int maybe. Although ES is very low too, and no Life. You only craft so much. Dunno.
