" Ok, can see it now. Tree is fine. Gear is mostly fine. Check if you can craft another suffix (+All Stats or a resist) on your chest. Pyre can have up to 35% fire res, can find good rolls cheap. Black Sun (even 14%) is usually better than a 300 ES hubris (I swapped a 400 ES one for 15% BSC back in March and never regretted it). You can craft a much better belt too, 2nd tier essences are cheap. Jade flask is useless, evasion doesn't work with US, use Quicksilver for movement. Bismuth isn't great either. And don't forget to add quality to the gems (see the Gems section). |

i seen your Lord_Seru u seems have very little resis...how u manage to cap 75/75/75 ?

I've done several more Atziri kills and would like to note a few things.
I never actually needed 4 ruby flasks of warding. One flask of dousing is absolutely required imo, because sometimes you will tank a flameblast just before she disappears or enters healing phase, and then you're screwed because the ignites can get pretty nasty. I use a quicksilver of staunching because the damage gain from Sulphur is very insignificant (~500 damage over my 7.5k), and being able to run out of double flameblast more reliably is very important, as sometimes you'd get caught mid casting and have little time left. I'm not sure what the difference is between red and yellow stormcalls. I'm slightly undercapped on lightning res after switching out Doedre's (71%, 9.5k ES) and the yellow ones one-shot me, would I still get one-shot with 75%? I'm thinking of replacing one Ruby with a Topaz. It probably won't allow me to facetank the beams but not having to be so scared of taking a single hit would allow me to get significantly more damage in, as the fight is taking slightly too long. Also I just switched out Auxium for a crystal belt, would freeze cause issues on Shaper? Last edited by Rivx#4632 on Oct 11, 2016, 11:43:33 PM

" My profile is public. Lord_Seru's exact tree, gear and stats are posted in the Templar version as well. He has a bit overcap fire res and 73 lightning res which is fine. " You don't need as many flasks for the regular Atziri. I carry 4 only for Uber because I need to pop one at the start of each Atziri phase and 1 at the start of each statue phase, plus sometimes an extra if Atziri dodges me and her phase takes longer. So that's 6-8 charges, and I don't like to rely on the healing/recharging phase happening. Sometimes it doesn't happen or happens right at the start when I dont need any charges yet. Ignite? Never bothered me really. You lose ES slowly even when it happens, but you can always leech it back before you even get too low, and ignite doesn't last very long. Quicksilver for bleeding+speed? Sure, why not. Yellow stormcalls always 1-shot. Red stormcalls are harmless in the regular version (unless you eat 3-4 at once) and have about 50/50 chance to 1-shot in the Uber version (crit/no crit). I don't know if bringing a Topaz flask will change anything. They are easy enough to dodge. You can facetank everything the Vaals do (with Topaz), regular or Uber, except their big physical slam. For the Shaper you want to use anti-chill/freeze flasks regardless of your belt. Getting chilled is bad. His ball barrage can crit and freeze you as well, without a flask. That's if you are facetanking. He's been killed with Icestorm by dodging too (with Quicksilver). It's just not as efficient, takes longer and carries more risk of losing. Oh I was definitely talking about uber. I usually get at least 2-3 dance phases so I feel that I can rely on being able to refill the flasks. I just end up having to move so much during the main phases that it I don't have much time to spam icestorms and as a result it goes pretty slowly. I've also died a few times if I get hit by a flameblast just as she disappears - I would be left with like a third of my ES with a big ignite ticking and several seconds before the clones appear. Dousing flask eliminates that possibility.
On Shaper, I could never tank the ball barrage, it just seems to do too much damage and it usually happens when I don't have a big icestorm stack on him so I can't leech quickly enough. I try to run in circles around him when he's talking so I don't get taken by surprise, and then position next to him so he just does melee+beam. Does the beam chill? I have no idea tbh, I use my sapphire/heat flask during that just in case but I'm not sure if it really matters. Overall it feels a lot more controlled and easier than Atziri. It's an ok build. I ran this to lvl 86. It is inferior to many builds in terms of clear speed and just straight up worse than the templar version of Whispering Ice (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1697785). But budget friendly.

" I have both WI builds (the templar is on standard) as well as a few others. I don't see how you can make such a strong statement. Both builds handle content competently. I can understand people may differ in terms of playstyle preferences, but "straight up worse" is simply incorrect. The main advantage of WaffleT's version is that it is much better for parties because of all the auras. If clear speed is the main criteria, Kelvynn has a Scion version that's faster than this witch version. In terms of budget, this build is way less expensive to start out than WaffleT's, but actually seems more expensive if you really want to min-max. " It's not only "an okay" build, you must have missed some instructions or isn't fully following the build (most noobs make such mistakes while following this build, no hard feelings). For me, this is an amazing in-depth build. Here are the reasons 1: You can easily do the end game content with this build. 2: It's extremely budget friendly build. The build grows with you i.e. as soon as u get the currency you can update your things one by one. 3: This is an up to date build and even tells you how to kill specific bosses with videos. 4: (most important reason) Author of this build is an amazing person and answers all the queries. He have in-depth knowledge of the game and this build. He knows what is good for this build and what is not. Q and A section solves most of your questions. In short, author of this build have spend effort and time to make this build, so stop being a j*** and provide constructive feedback. Sorry for my bad English, English isn't my first language. " Barrage is only used against ranged attackers, he won't do that when you are facetanking him. But you can sometimes get hit by a ball or two while getting back to him after a 'total chaos' phase, and the clone uses it as well. The beam usually doesn't chill or freeze. Either it consists of a large number of tiny hits that don't do enough damage to cause a status ailment (like Incinerate) or it's one of those new channeling skills that work entirely differently. Laser beam is strange and I think it may be somewhat bugged. It appears to be not always where you see if. Sometimes you stand right in it and take no damage whatsoever, your ES bar doesn't even move. Other times you stand at the opposite side of the Shaper while he's doing the laser beam and take very noticeable damage. Sometimes he does the beam animation (and you take damage) but the beam itself is not even on the screen. It's some kind of a sync problem with the new bosses, people noticed it happening in the Hydra fight too. And yes, the Shaper is easier than Uber Atziri for this build. It isn't very good at quickly dodging 1-shot attacks, and Uber Atziri is all about that. We facetank things and she is designed to be untankable. " Has anybody killed the Shaper with the "straight up better" build yet? How does that go? I don't see any mentions of it in that thread (but maybe I missed it), and the only T16 video there shows him running around and dodging the Phoenix. With all those defensive mega-powers, it can't facetank endgame bosses? Then what's the point again? Good for parties? Ok I guess. Last edited by Kelvynn#6607 on Oct 12, 2016, 1:02:46 PM
