Maybe 1-2 ex and just playing will get you to decent maps. But room to improve and get top gear for much more (gimme 40 ex, I'll find what to do with it to upgrade).

Only really need a Tabula Rasa, Windscream, and Winds of Change as far as uniques are concerned to reach more or less full functionality.

What links would you put for crit ek assassin? -Controlled +Void manipulation? Is bloodrage leech enough? Do I need poison since I have toxic delivery + noxious? I'm not entirely sure how they work yet, seems like I need to shoot them a few times to get them to bleed then get them to be poisoned.

On that version? Same links (just add Life Leech probably) and still be on 95% probably on Dual Void. Blood Rage doesn't leech for EK, only for Physical Attacks (like I say in the OP). Yes, you need Poison, preferably from the chest. You can't cause Bleed with spells :)

Thanks for the fast replies, So leveling with EK and rare gears will push me through merciless content and even lvl60 maps? If so what kinds of rare gear should i be grabbing? Es based? Accuracy? Evasion? Armor?

You can do maps up to 74-75 with a 4L Geofri's if you're broke (I've done so before, on less DPS with EK). A Tabula and that gear is viable (if slower) all the way up to t15s (except the bosses, maybe, or maybe not). You want Life/Res/needed attributes mostly on leveling (mana regen, spell damage, cast speed, none of those hurt) - go with what I outlined on the OP for rares.

Accuracy isn't a thing with spells, you always hit. Just grab Life and Resists and you're good to go on Acro (and add Evasion if you have room). The Armor version will want more Armor gear (and Evasion over Armor when you get Iron Reflexes), but not a big deal early on.

Small update: Grab the Leech from Berserker first. Relying on Warcries sucks, and the leech is plenty. Of course, having both is nice, for a while (and really late-game).

Stats at end of Day 1 of play (level 57):
2400 Life
Acro
6-7k tooltip + Poison, Double Curse (Temp Chains + Proj Weakness).

Hey, quick question... What setup did you use to level through the first 40 or so levels? Did you go EK from the start? Do you have any tips for clearing content faster on this build in the first week?

Also, do you think it's worth investing 2 points into Cloth and Chain passive while levelling on HC and refund them later once decent gear is obtained?

Running the build so far, and its doing well!

EK. Yes. Get a Lifsprig => Reverbration Rod => Tabula. No, that's a shit passive.
