Thanks Sas :-)
You're right about the life pool not being enough defence. I was helped on the forum and my cwdt setup is: immortal call. Increased duration: tempest shield:cwdt. I use enduring cry and try and max 3 endurance charges all the time for the defence. I also use Blaspehmy/enfeeble (enfeeble 21/10) which is pretty cool. The nerves are really harsh now. Even gorges make me anxious. So damn close now ... Getting very exited, but I really don't want To be asked the question whether I'd like to resurrect in town or checkpoint - I really don't need that question now lol. Turnip. TLDR: keeping calm with smokes, and huge amounts of caffeine lol. |

Being too careful can be a double-edged sword. Be too careful implies that you're more time standing in one place or very close to where you killed some monster. In these circumstances a small lag or a little carelessness can mean certain death. I say this from my own experience XD
A good example is the "Bearers". It is inevitable that at some point you kill them without realizing it, and it is better to be away when that happens. As in all things, balance is the key. Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?

Agreed - i always keep moving. Harder to hit a moving target.

Maybe you should invest in some defensive flasks, like rumis or ToH. Just pop them when fighting large groups/rares/bosses to reduce your chances of accidentally dying?
Edit: In related news, I ripped today in residence. Tried to whirling blades out, but got touched by god with monsters have increased AOE + monsters have increased speed. Only lvl92 though, so exp loss isn't that terrible. Last edited by LightningStars#5379 on May 8, 2016, 3:31:06 PM

19%...to 96...damn this is taking forever. Turnip, you must be tearing through those maps! :P
I did run a T14 Conservatory map...got 2% for clearing it (man, that seems like a TON) but I just can't risk fighting some bosses so I brought in my Lv 94 Scion to take out stupid Vaal...he was pretty easy, but when I tried to do this with the Brittle Emperor I got smacked down hard...that guy is a real PITA. I think to save time, I just need to keep mowing through maps and say SCREW IT to most bosses. Very few drop maps anyway...:/ Had a very close call in a Academy map. The one drawback to COC and fast clear speeds is that when the Magic foes drop those "glowing orbs" and you're stuck in a tight corridor...ugh...I just lost my focus for a split second and then realized that I was standing on top of about 15 of them...I WB'd through some, hit a flask...but then was still knee deep in them. I was down to almost no life...so freaking close and I barely, just barely got out of range of the last few. I think that hazard presents the biggest risk to my build...GLOWING ORBS = BAD! 8) Definitely break time for a while, lol. :D |

" Bad luck for ripping. Keep going. Turnip. |

" Imo t11s kinda suck apart from springs. There's a lot of back tracking in precinct and the tight corridors are dangerous. Academy is small with very little exp. The reason I've been levelling fast, is I play fast through plateaus, gorge, lake. They are less dangerous, and cause you can kill faster you can gain more exp as they are open maps. I hate precint. Because I get lost a lot, and have to backtrack, also the boss of academy rips me so I avoid him. Play more t9s and open t10s and I think you'll level faster. Could be wrong as some top players say play t11s, but they are slow and slightly more dangerous due to layouts. Also 96 is going to be a lot slower than 95 I guess. Best of luck and keep patient. I'm dreading 96 tbh. Gl Turnip |

Accomplished a deathless 92 to 93 in a couple of hours, so aiming to do likewise for 94 -- which is why I skipped two -max resists and extra damage mods precinct and residence maps for my max blocker and let my spectral thrower alt do it. With her, I invested quite a bit into projectile speed for the expressed purpose of sniping bosses and mobs from afar.
Otherwise, my blocker is designed to do all map mods -- curse immune, both reflects, blood magic, no leech -- with some gem switcharounds. He's fairly tanky with 78/78 block, max chaos resist, 6380 ehp and 18k armor unbuffed. I try to attempt a 'harder map' every now and then, if only to liven proceedings. Usually when I'm two or three experience bars' worth of death penalty ahead. Last edited by Quixote77#2013 on May 8, 2016, 8:08:48 PM

" At 96 you get another 'free' level (penalty is calculated based on your level / 16 + X). 97 is what you should be dreading instead ;) |

" 25% and rising...;) Lol...all of my maps are self found...I've never bought a single one before. I ran out of Gorges and Plateaus getting to 95...so I run whatever I can and buy stuff daily from Zana. My exp per hour stays constant on most maps because I've ran a ton of T9s, T10s and T11s...and many T12s and T13s when I find them. I can clear an Academy or Necropolis pretty fast...I ever run Volcanos but avoid the bosses on all of these. I can usually take them out easily enough...but it's just too risky. You're right...Plat, Gorge and Lake are where it's at. I do enjoy Springs and Precinct isn't bad...just gotta watch the mods on the boss. Chateau is a pain to navigate...but its not too bad and the boss is easy enough to take on...just gotta be careful. I wish I had a stack of T14s...the one I did cleared fast in under 10 min and 2% exp was really nice to get. I may have to consider buying maps because I've got a good stock of currency at the moment...hmm... Btw...I made a video today...not super great quality as I'm not good at making them...just a Gorge run so you all can see my amateur playstyle. ^_^ I'll post a link for it later...once I get it converted. |
