I'd love to add Dual Strike to the list... ;___;
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.

I have nothing to viper strike since it is stronger than normal poison.
Frenzy also is skill that "just add frenzy", but it also is stronger version since it boost itself depending on the charges.
Puncture on the other hand is just bleed (even thu bleed is strong mechanic by itself), but doesnt offer anything else comparing to any other bleed source.
Elemental hit is randomized, I never used it so I dont really know how powerfull that gem is or how weak it might be.

Yes, it is. Tora's bleed affix is a prefix (so is the one Vagan's bench can add, though that can't be added to bows), meaning you'd have to give up a one member of the physical damage affix trio to get it (%phys, hybrid phys, and flat phys). This would severely limit the physical damage your weapon could do even if you managed (miraculously) to regal/exalt the two remaining prefix slots with top phys rolls.
Additionally, bleed bows are only sold directly by Tora (you can't use a bench to add the affix to a custom bow), meaning their ilvls can only go so high (ilvl 59 tops, iirc). As a result, you can't get the highest tiers of bows with a bleed affix (so no Harbingers, and pretty much none of the other merc-tier bows besides maybe Thickets), nor can you roll the highest tiers of affixes onto them (at ilvl 59, the best you can do is t3 flat phys and t4 %phys and hybrid)
Between working with cruel-tier bases, having far from top-tier affixes available, and only being able to use two of the three physical damage affixes, the physical damage potential of the weapon would be severely limited. Building around even a well rolled Tora bleed bow would pale in comparison to using a legit endgame bow (even just a Lioneye's Glare) and taking up one of your links with a bleed support gem.
Does that mean bows like Quill Rain aren't end game viable?

Quill rain's utility isn't dependent on high physical dps.
Bleed's utility *is* dependent on high physical dps. I guess you could switch to the bow for bleed rain of arrows, then switch back to melee and use bloodlust or something, but it seems like a pretty big stretch when you could just use a melee weapon or skill instead...
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

What about with trap? Would the bow damage matter as much at that point? Basically using the bow for the bleed effect and use caustic arrow with the say gmp gem and some others for the poison?

The point of using a bleed trap is to do as much damage as possible in the 3 tries trap gives you. Damage is EVERYTHING in this cases. That is why puncture traps are the only efficient use of puncture.

Would using Poison gem also add to the usefulness of a trap setup? Ill admit i have a certain build/style im thinking about.
