Pay 2 Win Premium Tabs Features - why GGG lies
" Right! Now we don't have to go through the trouble of forming our own opinion! We can just blindly agree with this asshole because he has a video blog on youtube so you know what he says is important! /sigh ><; |

I watched the most recent 'state of exile' podcast, and I'm satisfied with Chris' answer.
GGG's view is that so long as 3rd party stuff exists, it's just fine. If/when 3rd party stuff stops working, they'll work in a way for free players to get premium tabs or something. I'm not sure I agree with their idea that people would have created multiple accounts to abuse a free premium tab (they can do that right now anyway?), but it's good to know that GGG is thinking about this issue. In the end, all I wanted to know was that GGG knew that this move was questionable and had a plan to ensure that it never got to the point of no return. The question of whether or not tabs themselves are 'p2w' is still up for debate, but I'm not nearly as invested into that as I was the premium trade tab debacle. I'll happily continue supporting the game now (unless No Man's Sky is as good as I hope it will be :P) |

Well, as I've said earlier in this thread, I am no longer of the opinion that Premium tabs are p2w. So I disagree with him there.
But additional tabs (and currency tabs) still are, and his the core argument is concise enough: make three characters of the same build, one self-found, one trading using 4 tabs, and one trading using 12 tabs, and see which one does best. (He only really needs the latter two for his argument but w/e) When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. " How are currency tabs P2W, I guess just because its a tab that can store your currency, if you are in the point in the game where you can store more then 1\2 or so stash space in currency the tab provides no real additional space unless you are refusing to convert currency or spend it. In which case the currency tab just mules the stuff for you. Like you can create a character, move over all your alts\ect and store that way. Lets be real here the currency tab is 100% QOL, its not a drastic change and if you think so, please tell me right now how much chaos, exalts, fuses, jews, alts you have. Your argument of make 3 characters relies upon the circumstances to be exactly the same for the one that trades to come out ahead. That literally is impossible to always dictate that. If you let RNG run its course the person that doesn't trade at all can chance a skyforths or a key piece to his build, while the person with 12 tabs needs to complete multiple 100+ small trades in order to buy his needed item off someone else. You can NEVER compare self found to anyone that is willing to trade, the moment you do the self found person loses. You can't as a self found player reach but all you have access to yourself. With trading you have access to what others have in a global network. The thing is there are so many elements here that you fail to see why you can't put this argument in your scope and just say argue against that. It simple doesn't work. Let me put the argument against the actual game, like skill level, playtime, luck, knowledge, pricing, ect. What if I had a computer setup next to mine that did nothing but sell items from a smurf account, is that P2W? I mean i'm not spending money on stash tabs I just happen to have another computer which I can effectively double my stash space and trade without leaving the lab\map\ect? Of course it isn't because anyone else can do the same thing, just like anyone else can comeup with creative ways to mitigate the stash space. If I had to guess the amount of players that consider the tabs to be P2W and refuse to purchase them or are free players that are unwilling to buy tabs is very very low and even more importantly those players ARE NOT COMPETITIVE. Take your BFF john keys here, hes what level 83 in standard, even if he had 100 tabs he still isn't going to compete with anyone in standard, simply because he does not play enough to do so. Not only that hes playing in a league that naturally isn't competitive. Even if the challenge leagues were really competitive, which they aren't there are other factors in play that are required "aside" from stash tabs in order to be competitive, so anyone unwilling to too short sighted to think its purely because of stash tabs is a fool really. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285 FeelsBadMan Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
