Pay 2 Win Premium Tabs Features - why GGG lies

So its been a while and as far as I can see GGG have not address the P2W concerns regarding the premium tab "shop" features, and why they haven't not been implemented for all the player base.

I expect that by this time, all you super duper supporters with your moms credit card are screaming and shouting that I should just spend more money on this game and not be a freeloader. Well, I'm not, I support GGG too, but instead of premium tabs I bought standard tabs, as I had no need for naming and fancy coloring (which was the only difference in past).

Now GGG first wave of trading improvements is much rather a first wave of Pay 2 Win implementations in this game. You may argue that this is just a quality of life change (that that GGG tries to sell it as) but its not. it is so NOT THAT, and its super easy to prove that, whit their recent addition of the currency tab. This is a real quality of life improvement and not pay 2 win feature. I know myself as I got it, as soon as I seen it. I don't give you anything more then easy way to store currency, while "shop" feature on premium is a clear advantage over other non premium stash tab users.

I don't expect for GGG to back out of their pay 2 win route, which I expect to get slowly implemented under the "quality of life" banner, but its really sad that they great company I respected so much over the years for their core values of making everyone equal in the game, now turning to money chasers.

PS: this is not an april's fool post.

procurement still up.

No rest for the wicked
Not trying to be rude but I bring this up when I decide to post to threads like this: Did you possibly consider the fact that GGG needs money to keep this game going?

Yeah you bought standard tabs, but we don't really have any idea what their financial situation is at the current moment do we? Yeah if they were broke they'd probably say something but I get the impression that they silently slip a price tag in with the trade improvements people waited years for because you know, companies do need money. Hell, I still consider GGG to be indie. Don't have any real idea if that assumption is true but compared to most other games I play they most certainly are with this kind of size and scope for being what 40 person crew? I don't pay the closest attention to when they hire new people so I don't know the current number. You can say hiring people obviously means they have enough money for now but there is also the possibility they hired new people for things here and there to hopefully boost sales again because of performance improvement over the short and long term, updates that we collectively like, etc.

I also can't completely side with you and others in their complaints that this is "Pay 2 Win" when the programs everybody used are still usable. People are too scared to use these programs due to complexity in some form or against it due to them being third party programs? Tough luck in the first case and for the second it is really pessimistic to assume that these people who have put a ton of effort into poe.trade and acquisition and procurement and any other third party program that requires you "log in" (since sometimes it is fine to use session id) did it all to hack thousands of accounts and destroy GGG's playerbase overnight because they want to sell everybody's shit to gold selling sites in the future.

Ultimately, these changes are "Pay 4 Convenience" and can't be anything else to me and many others. Does it suck that they slapped a price tag on an expected to be free feature? Sure as hell does. Did they ever promise it to be free when other methods that are free are still perfectly viable and only require a few minutes to initially set up? I don't believe so.

So you can afford 110 points for a stash tab bundle (assuming you bought a bundle on sale), but are unwilling to spend another 15 points to make one of those tabs a premium tab?

If you need to include that your post 'is not an April Fools joke' in your post, odds are your request is laughable.

not really, just as I posted it on April the 1st I did not wanted people to think, even for a second, that this is a troll post. Guess it's to much for you to comprehend.

Well I bought few stash tab bundles (standard ones), and I could even pay these 15 coins per tab to upgrade some to premium, but its my choice to not do so. I refuse to pay for features which should be available to all players, per core values GGG used to be so proud of.

Perhaps you missed the earlier post about Acquisition/Procurement still being available for you. In a lot of situations Acquisition/Procurement is just as good. Open it on your other monitor or alt-tab and enter your prices. It takes almost no extra time.
Im fully aware that the 3rd party programs still work, heck Im using one of the them for long time to manage my shop.

The point is that GGG added paid feature that give advantage over non paid features that are available to whole player base. As I said before, GGG will not back down, but they should have at least enough decency to inform people of their true intention behind it - making money.

A company trying to make money, how fucking dare they!

How the fuck is it an advantage when free tabs and free 3rd party programs do the same fucking thing.

The OP doesn't seem to understand a company need income to survive...

Besides, where is the 'win' in your P2W?
The 'win' in this game is being able to have fun... You can have just as much fun with trading as without...

And, you can still use procurement...
