What is the mod that makes monsters you kill turn into ball lightning totems?

Yeah, adjust the dmg on that shit.

Stuff like that just completely ruins HC. It turns the game into a mere numbers of chance where eventually you are going to run into that and it's going to instagib you no matter how good your defenses are or how fast you react to it with instant health pots or try running away.

I had 3600hp, 1k~es, 9% hp regen, 7 end charges up, enfeeble on blasph @ 50%~ inc cursed effectiveness, perfect resist, and great gear:

and instantly died on a lowbie tier 4 newb map with no dmg inc mods fighting the boss. Some monster joined the fight and I am melee and my AoE instantly kills them and the boss dies at same time and they turn into ball lightning totems which instantly kill me. When I say instant I mean instant...The totems are fuckin OP dmg and completely unfair to melee. I swear this game is go bow or go to another game.

You guys really need to have a comprehensive look at instagib garbage in your game and either adjust it so skill actually comes into play for survival or take the shit out. I absolutely love the majority of this game but I keep constantly running into mechanics that kill you instantly and it just completely turns me off from the game and makes me look for other games that actually require skill to survive and are rewarding and fun to play. I quit again before perandus after being instantly killed by volatile blood and then bearers in HC talisman after coming back from a year hiatus again due to instagib shit back then and decided to give the game a try again since you guys FINALLY made visible notifications to bloodline mods and the others that can instantly kill you. The dmg from the ball lightning needs to be toned down a lot. At least it has a visual indicator now so you can just do a typical "path of just skip it" if you even have time to see the mobs.

Gonna quit again and check out that new ARPG everyone has been talking about lately and read the patch notes on this one to see if you guys ever change your instakill mechanics and overtuned mess. What a great game otherwise but just ruined by stupid small things.

Endurance charges obviously don't help you, neither do curses. Not sure if those totems can crit.

I have died to them once or twice before, but have not done so in a long time. I really like them, cause they pose an actual threat. I've met them once in an Uber Atziri run, that was kind of sketchy. I.e. very sketchy (was running Incinerate at the time, so had to get close to the mobs).

The bloodline mod that spawns them is called Heralds of the Obelisk.

I honestly find bearers to be more frightening (and harder to see).

Yeah bearers suck and do retarded dmg when it's on beetles or large groups of other small monsters, but the totems on my melee that just died last night was instakill. It was quicker than bearers. I lagged for a second and died on my lvl 84 to bearers but I may have had a chance to actually react had I not lagged for a split second. This I had 0 chance. It was a nuclear bomb of ball lightnings...I don't see why they couldn't crit or why GGG would make them not be stupidly OP.
I don't understand playing HC then complaining especially when dozens of ppl are 100 already in this ladder proving it can be done. Why do people do this?
Git R Dun!
That mod is pretty mental, I agree. It's called "Bearer of the ...." <- I can't remember the last part.

The first time I encountered it in Cruel with max lightning resist, I thought it would be like other bearer skills and give you a warning. Nope. With around 3.6k HP it took well over half my life. The second time I encountered it (in merciless), I ran away!
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

I don't understand what attaining level 100 has anything to do with this thread about an op mod? And defensively there is generally nothing different from 80-100 on the vast majority of templates made on HC because you pick all your defense and HP first ALWAYS. It did not matter whether I was level 100 or an entirely different template it would have one hit anything.

You died because you didn't check the purple mobs for their bloodline.

Yeah, you are right because then I would have just skipped it like most blood line mods because they are OP. Great game mechanic right? I really wish there was time to check them in the middle of a boss fight before they were instantly one hit by me upon running on screen in a split second so I could have just chose to to "path of just skip it" like the majority of content in the game due to imbalance. Monsters have to little livability since we one hit the entire map but bosses on any decent character so we have these moronic instakill mods that should not be a part of a game that is balanced.

It would not have mattered if I had more +life it would have just as easily and instantly killed 6k HP. The only thing that maybe would have survived was a 10k hp RF build.
