Crafting Maps Is Really, Not Fun

you want to neither spend currency on maps nor grind lower level maps to move up. ie, you want on-demand top content at the palm of your hand, for free.

Edit= I dont want to waste currency to roll RNG on maps. I want an actual dedicated end game for poe
that goes outside of us as players, creating the end game content by using preset zones and rolling the mods our-self.

I have never played a game like POE which doesn't actually have a real end game.

Do you not like crafting at all in PoE? I'm just asking because all the crafting is the same. I get that most builds have certain mods that they cannot run but you just have to put faith in RNGeesus that he won't give you a mod you can't run and if he does then just put it to one side if it's not your last one of that tier if it is then yeah you've got to re-roll it, Just have a cut off point don't spend more than a few chaos per map, Scour alc instead of alc chaos spam.

With the lab existing map crafting is far from tedious but then again everything is more fun for me than that snooze fest

It's one of many currency sinks this game has. sux if you're not rich you sorta hit a brick wall on leveling and run shit maps way beneath you. I usually just re-roll about then and come here and bitch haha.

if you use build that cant run anything, you wont bypass lvl 8 maps untill you level zana to lvl 7. i did that error not once and not twice, skipping all that double boss bloodmagic 40% hp 90 cold necropolis and noregen wasteland fun.

so if you cant run whatever map mods you vaal, you have to invest currency in running what you like.

And this is why having content as a currency sink and immunity/binary mods is a disgrace. Patch 2.2 holds probably the most diversity, yet still only a handful of builds will be popular. Why? Because they can run most combinations, cost less to access content, while the others have to pay up to be played.

But, GGG's #1 priority is economy, so fun things like build diversity and crafting gear at leisure as a currency sink, get pushed aside for pyramid economy flow via the one thing people will always need, content access.


It's pretty annoying to see community members throw in the 'you're doing it wrong' card to people like the OP. No, dude, you and GfuckingGG are doing it wrong.

atziri and uber are alternatives, sort of.

but will you be ok with spending orbs on endgame ? thats the million dollar question. if not, there's a problem. why should there be 'free' endgame ?
