Ever played a "free" game where the requirement to be an elite player is to spend THOUSANDS of $$ ?

I know in Clash of Clans, and Game of War especially, two very popular iphone app "competitive" games, the top 1% of players have spent thousands to be ranked that high, no exceptions. All of the people descending from those top ranks spend quite a bit as well (hundreds of $). It is rumored that the #1 player in the world in Game of War has spent over half of a million dollars on the game.
...And some of you are outraged about the new OPTION to spend a few dollars to SUPPORT PoE for a CONVENIENCE (not a direct advantage) in game????? Get real!!!!! I am sure some of you can list some other "Free" pc games and other apps that are more or less the same 100% pay2win/progress model like Game of War/ Clash of Clans. TLDR The point is, it is not a requirement to spend any money to be an ELITE (or casual) player in PoE (meanwhile in most other "free" apps/pc games spending to progress/win is required, and in very large cash quantities.) I still think at least 1 trade tab should be given to everybody since it'll all most of the complainers need. The people who plan on having 471238 trade tabs already bought premium tabs back in 2013
Although it would be interesting to know how much money the number 1 ladder guys have spent on this game |

Premium tabs are not required, this still requires the use of trade tools/sites which will function the same for you without the premium tabs and almost exactly the same as those with premium tabs

PoE trade show midle finger and than what? Trade programs fail even for 1 day and then what? The whole Trade sistem in this game is basicly a comunity by it self, and now GGG say well you know people we gona charge you for one we copied. This "Extra" should be in the game long time ago and can you imagine if they made it like this from start? When you climb on giants sholder you may see farther then him but never forget on what is it you standing on. If they have more to offer then i strongly sugest they retain from aproch they done and dont fence them self with "frst wave" thing or as you can see people can understand them but they simply dont give a damn what suits GGG. GGG released this trading feature due to the community constantly asking for it. Yes, people were not expecting a premium stash tab to be required to use this optional convenient feature, but I direct you to my first post for my opinion on that matter. Next??? I did. I've also spent a bit in some of those games as well.

No, I haven't spent much time playing those games, because they tend to be rubbish games that feel icky to play... and that is what you need to be thinking about, not the cost.

" i disagree. chris has said this game has only "ethical microtransactions" and is "free to play". this feature improves a player's ability to trade and make currency. currency is vital to improving your character. i do not see this feature as an "ethical microtransaction". |
