Your EVA / ranged chars should be able to off-screen him with crits. Anything that chills / freezes, knockback on crit (King of the hill notable, down at Ranger) is very usefull to keep him at bay. With an "of warding" flask you also have 2x~5 sec of immunity to his curse. Enfeeble / TC helps too.

Your armor & block based melee chars should tank him easily.

strategy I used to use when he was scary (he isn't anymore) was avoiding his attacks so he couldn't leech.

What was painful was the leech, he was regenning because of the damage he was dealing, so I had to kite like mad so he wouldn't heal up and my damage would actually damage, pausing to attack and the right times.

But yeah, now? Now he is a joke, damage is average and can just sit on him and facetank with no armour
This guy die with less than 2-3 hit, a real joke. I complained about how weak exiles are a while ago. I think GGG dont care much about exiles now. They are more like normal mobs. Before they were boss! Magnus, Igna and that raining arrow ranger were party destroyers! Now they just melt...

Yeah exiles are really joke now,when i'm solo mapping i dont even see them on screen,just little bit larger pile of loot.Before they were scary.GGG really need to buff their hp and dmg.
Are you guys sure they don't melt because of your insane damage rather than them being too weak?
Sounds like enemies with a huge HP pool (E.G. Oak) die in a matter of seconds against you.

The problem I have with Xandro (and other bosses with RT and stuff) is that they're a joke. Or I'm screwed. No real halfway there.

And look, if you guys can facetank this bastard in a 80 map with damage mods then hey, good for you, but I'm not that awesome :)

It doesn't bother me too much that he wrecks me, it bothers me that ONLY he wrecks me (or something else that screws over a specific defense, like phys spells, or RT vagan).

I wanna play POE, with consistently challenging and difficult content, not Mr Exile Lottery where you use the old ondar's guile to laugh at Antalie Napora before being smashed to a pulp by Torr Olgosso, only to have an armor character do exactly the opposite.

It's cool to have things that are more difficult for certain classes, but going from 50% evasion to 0% is taking double damage over time. That's a little too harsh imo, but if you account for that and lower his damage you make him far too easy for armor characters (who he's actually reasonably easy for already).

This is a larger problem than just xandro, but it does add some "OH SHIT" moments I guess. Not for the right reasons, but it does add them.

Well it's highly unlikely to get punished with this sort of character if you play accordingly. Getting chain stunned usually doesn't happen (not including Xandro).
It's a challenging and more of a fun character to play in my opinion. Most bosses have a neat little animation that gives you enough room to use blink arrow without dropping in DPS.
