I got the same results:
The possibilities of DON'T GET into the beta in the next tick are: 4999/5000 (0.9998). In the next 144 ticks: (0.9998)^144 ~= 0.9716 . So the possibilities of get into the beta are the opposite: 1 - 0.9716 = 0.0284 (2.84%) Last edited by NoiTaTuM#5470 on Aug 11, 2011, 1:06:14 PM

The thing is that 10 times bigger chance is temporary. It's pretty clear from the name of the thread Chris started: "Forum users are now TEN TIMES more likely to get into Beta for now"
This could change as soon as tomorrow and everybody will have equal chance again. |
