the math for that was based on the timer being every 15 minutes. Since the timer has been cut down to 5 minutes and the pool of forumers has increased significantly. The math would need to be redone.

Its not one in 15min anymore it is one in 5 now so there is a much higher chance of getting in beta now then there was when this thread was created but you guys probably already know that :P
