Can we have flashback events in the permanent SC/HC?

Agree with OP, this would be an awesome idea. Maybe GGG can introduce something like special week(end)s in std. leagues. I mean... the mods are already made, they could just test how people react to it... we have at the same time running a temp league and the racing season, there will be something for everyone. I know... there will always be a goetz that wants 100% attention of GGG for his wishes and hates when GGG caters to different playstyles that is not his favorite... but there will be a time in his life where he will see... it's possible to be different and still have fun together with just one game but many ways to play it ... I STILL BELIEVE!!! :))

They specifically said they don't want to do events because its a "cheap way" or cheezy way to grab attention or get people to play. If your bored of standard on your level 100 character, then take your chaos and pay for zana mods, or you know play in the 1 months when they happen so you don't miss out.

The only difference between what GGG is doing now and what I'm suggesting is that they add a global flashback event to standard.

During TSC I didn't play standard, I just had my shop open. I've made ~50ex in standard from <=2ex sales and about 300ex counting all sales without even playing there. Clearly there are players who prefer to play their standard characters than their temp leagues ones. Why not throw these guys a bone by recycling already made content?

If players have more fun and rewarding opportunities available, I believe the positives will outweigh the negatives.

They do recycle the content, in form of zana mods and adding specific things to the core of the game.

I'm just pointing out that events for a specific league is something they said they wouldn't do and the reasoning for it. Personally it doesn't impact me at all, but if its global across all things people have no choice but to participate or don't play during that time frame. Which is why I suggested if they do this event thing it needs to be a "free" zana mod instead of a globally applied blanket across the league.

In the 1 months and even in the temp leagues, players know ahead of time what they are getting themselves into, in standard its been "eventless" forever and there will likely be people that want it to remain as such, you can't force your event on them and think that is somehow "right"

Permanent flashback would be great, but i remember they haved some problems with servers stability when flashback was running, maybe that's problem as well?

Also, Darkshrines with random effect would be interesting, have no idea why they didn't added it like that to std (in league it was really abused).

I think all temp league mods should apply to permanent leagues, too, at the same time.


Temp leagues are economy resets, ladder races, temporary, people want to play them for those reasons, it's the only way they need differ from permanent leagues. Oh, they can have the pretend challenges only in temp leagues as fresh economy is crucial to shopping achievements.

That 'test' bullshit has lost any substance. The version of league mods that make it into the core game if at all are such a tiny shadow of the original, the test bit just doesn't fly any more.

It's bribe deprive design, pure and simple, to try to get more people to play leagues that would rather not. Temp leagues could easily be for what can't be done in permanent leagues only and still work for those who want those things, short league, ladder, fresh economy and shopping achievements, the rest is nothing more than a bribe when confined only to those leagues.

Forcing the mod? You act like it's actually something difficult. Do you actually struggle in those leagues, lol? They've just been consistent loot piñatas from the very start.
