Suggestion: one exalted (guaranteed drop) every 100 hours of play

Free accounts + a reward for X hours of play = ... bad things
GGG is better off selling an offline client with separate saves, so players can tailor rewards via modding to their personal satisfaction. Does stuff like magic workstation, apprentice, or OCTGN destroy the earnings of magic the gathering? I'd argue that they ultimately increase sales, and those are free. To me, it just makes sense for GGG to sell offline access, via ingame MTX shop or however they like, and require online authentication. I'd feel a lot better supporting a game that won't inevitably disappear. Too many online only games have shut down. Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

Hideout farming viable: confirmed.

U have some reason about that but 100 hours of playing i don't think will worth it ...
And max you could sugest is like a MAP that the end boss would drop an exalted orb (2% chance) But the map is tier 15 or what ever... Or a divination card that only comes with Gambler one ... The Exalted Way: 10/10 cards needed or what ever And would only be obtainble from gambler card =P Is only a suggestion .. But 1 true is that .. i NEVER DROPPED a exalted orb and i play since 2013 =) |

I'd much prefer if exalts became a more common currency, so people could craft. It would just mean one of the other rare currencies (Divine, Mirror, Regal, etc.) would become the 'new exalt.'

" Yeah thats not how it works. I love the excuse that people want to craft with them, even when there was an orb that enabled people to save their progress, very few people crafted with them. Divines have a recipe for them, one that is very much easily farm-able (tabula cards), plus their use is rather niche, which brings the value lower. Regal orb has a vendor recipe for it as well and one most people can get their hands on ilevel75 set of rares. Whats ect? The old de-facto currency that was valuable was GCP, which has all but crashed due to GCP cards and GGG nerfed the hell out of quality on gems. The only thing left is mirror, but thats not common enough to be traded as a currency for valuable items like shavs, windripper, ect. What you are really saying is lets make exalts common enough that everything is traded in chaos, that is an absolutely terrible idea. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" If currency is more common people would not use it much more, they would accumulate much more of it. Confrimed by GGG testing. "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." |

" Some people would, and for them the enjoyment factor would go up. I use regals all the time, every day, multiple times a day because they're so easily farmable and the opportunity cost is not that high since you can sell a 2 mod rare for a scour. Vagan's weapons, elreon rings, sometimes strongboxes, any decent magic jewel. If there was a similar recipe for ex you can bet every single decent 3-affix rare jewel would become 4 affix, and every rare I'm wearing or might wear would be exalted until 6 affixes (or 5+ 1 craft). A lot has changed since GGG "tested" how player currency usage behavior changes with drop frequency. For example, item categories like jewels exist now that make ex usage more desirable (the same goes for crafting costs and crafting strategies that increase the likelihood of a desirable ex outcome, as well as crafting strategies that enable the reversibility of a bad ex outcome). Furthermore, the testing itself was problematic. People are less likely to consume low frequency random drops compared to predictable, low-effort/time farmable drops. If GGG increased the ex drop rate by 20% and saw no increase in consumption, well, no shit. There's no recipe for them and having 1 drop every 640 hours instead of every 800 hours is not noticeable enough to change behavior. Even if the ex drop rate was triple or quadruple, they would still not be abundant enough to use as much as I currently use regals/chaos/fusing/jeweler/chromatics/alts/aug, simply because you get so many of those from the vendor. If I had my way (i.e. via an offline mod) I'd have mirrors drop as frequently as ID scrolls. That shit would be hilarious. You vendor them for ex, mirror your coral ring at level 4, dupe things for buddies d1 style (if there was LAN or open bnet functionality). I don't think it's possible for GGG to take a bigger dump on RMT than that. Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client. " Communism, right But do you know what chinese communism said? "Every day, a portion of rice FOR EVERYONE" In this "game" (that will be utterly destroyed by Lost ark, Blade and soul and the other newcomners if it doesn't address its flaws) what we have instead? A dropp of water every "ten" days for the 99% of players, and countless roasted boars every day for the usual well known names... You like this? |
