Suggestion: one exalted (guaranteed drop) every 100 hours of play
" You are right: poe is not diablo. Diablo is a good game, poe is not ;) Oh btw, because you say that i CAN'T drop enough of them, tell me oh supreme genius: HOW make YOU drop them more? I'm interested in taking lessons in this by you, "teacher" ;) |

@Oriuke:
I simply don't have the luxury to wait x hours on trade chat until someone decides to buy that Gear/item from me. Plus I usually get lowballed there. Posting items on poe.trade would be another possibility. However I don't want to "enrich" the group of players who post their stuff on poe.trade and never actually bother to show up when you want to buy their shit. That's why I suggest a better trade system. AND you better read my thread about it before commenting. That leaves me with the grinding and converting orbs to exalts. However I rarely do that since I seem to almost always find better rare items just mapping. I only buy exalts if I know that I will most likely not going to find that item otherwise or just easier that way (for example: Atziri's Splendour with inc. Armour, EVA and ES)... |

The low exalt drop rate is clearly not the most frustrating aspect of the game. It is, actually, not much of a problem (though exalt prices have risen recently, and I think it should drop more frequently).
The 100-hour-guaranteed-idea is one of the worst ideas I have seen in a while, though. Especially if publicly announced. Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

" Oh right, i should have not public announced my idea: i have underlined how much shitty poe drops are XD On a serious note, i should be really glad to hear other ideas to put a cap at the potentially ulimited amount of time without an exalt drop that many players are experimenting ;) |

find exalt now:
happy because you found something with high value find exalt after "fix" bored becasue you found something with low value, that is not even exciting becasue it is just grind for 100 hours to get guaranteed drop. LAME. "Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms." |

" And when you don't EVER found one? LAME.... GGG!!!! ;) |

" The thing is, if they added guaranteed ways for everyone to get exalted orbs, the prices would simply increase accordingly, because the relative value of the exalted orbs would go down. A player's buying power would go down, not up, if they'd get an exalted orb once every 100 hours. Probably more so than now because this could be exploited in different ways. Not just bots, but also multiboxers, plus the general perception that exalted orbs would now be worth less. It is their rarity that makes them the standard currency for mid and upper tier items. They have no inherit, absolute value. (I play self-found, so I have no stake in this.)
" My hope is that non-greedy players will ever exist and ask decent prices But the game in this state is pure shit, because we have BOTH 1) ridicolous self found drops (just yesterday a dangerous lvl 71 Thraxia dropped me only a pair of blues and a dunes map) and 2) currency starving Something has to be done |

" You see, THAT is really only a problem for those of us who play self-found as exalted orbs are really neat for crafting. Why is it not a problem for you and others who look at exalted orbs as currency? Because you can trade-up other currency and get exalted orbs that way. I find one every 600 hours or so, but if I were willing to trade, I would probably have acquired dozens in that time period. You can convert other currency to chaos orbs and fusings, and then trade those for exalted orbs. If you only make two chaos orbs from the recipe per hour, you get 1200 chaos orbs in 600 hours of playing, which equals 17 (1:70) exalted orbs right there. 2 chaos per hour is extremely conservative, and also doesn't factor in drops of items and other currency. Based on this unrealistic (because you make more than two chaos per hour with ease when you are mapping) example, you already get a minimum of 3 exalted orbs per 100 hours of playing. The only players who have a reason to moan about the low exalted orb drop chance are self-found players, because trading is the only way you can obtain exalted orbs outside of drops (including the cards).
" I personally use 2 methods: yellow, vendor, alt, human vendor chaos. And chaos recipe But "goals" are more far every day. Because "every day" the chaos / exalt ratio rises. And because every day the prices of my desired item rise And i speak even for all the people in my conditions, because in this game the rich remain rich, and the poor are left drowning forever in poverty |
