Whether you like it or not, he is the President-Elect.
Crying about it won't help. Being afraid won't help. Burning down your own cities definitely won't help. What will help? Making sure that you are improving yourself as a person one day to the next. Making better decisions so that the occupant of the Oval Office has a minimal impact on your life. At the end of the day, though, America has made a lot of poor economic decisions over the last 50 years, so expect it will take at least another 50 to fix that mess. |

Trump isnt your problem, Christians are. " So the reason to go back on things like gay marriage is to help folk become better people because you love them and want the best for them? Or is the left to suffer this medieval moral outrage because its somehow for their own good? You know why the pope wont just come out and be totally pro gay? Because that is unchristian and there are still a lot of people in his church who believe its not their place to rewrite the bible to suit them, that it is actually a sacred text they have built their lives around. You know why he retreats from the idea its a mortal sin? Because if he did not his church would be destroyed, to Atheist values he must bend or be broken, this is Christianity struggling to survive in an educated, forward thinking world and in doing so exposing itself as an artificial creation. He saves his church in the short term at the expense of laying bare the absurdity at the core which will be its end in the long term. Adam and Eve produced the entire species? A dude walking on water who came back from the dead? A cult of gangster pedophiles that have their own city state? Donald Trump as president? Were better than this. It isnt out of hate that Americas orthodox Christians should have their opinions pushed aside, its out of love and a serious attempt to make their world better, for their own good and the good of everyone else who has to live with them. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
