I don't doubt that we will eventually get there. To my mind, we need another 100 to 150 years of political evolving before we're ready for something bigger.

If they can only find one way to go forward they aren't very clever. Many of them ARE very well educated, and might even have a lot of relevant experience. If you have seen what you think are some excellent models of globalism plans, I wouldn't mind looking at them. From the little that I have seen - they are still relying on past and current models, rather than coming up with completely new ideas.

Those evolved for defense purposes and conquering territory. Chimpanzees and Lions have them for instance. Fish form giant schools.

Right now we follow the markets which is a blind abstract, if the markets say do something good we do something good, if they say do something bad we do bad

I'd agree that the Markets are a rather abstract guide to what is successful. Whether Amazon gets another .06% on its stock price doesn't directly affect me, but our system is set up so that it will.

The problem here is motivation. Unless we have robots that are going to do everything, people need some rewards for their efforts. Considering how vastly interconnected our jobs and incomes may be, a non-market solution would be difficult to make viable.

Consider that there is someone making digital images in New Zealand, using a computer made with parts from all over the world, and someone in Brazil is giving money via a supporter pack to fund it. Past a certain point, it becomes difficult to scale that type of economy up without a "market" and you end up with a lot of "money" that can't be invested.

I'm not suggesting markets aren't broken, or there isn't a better solution. Whatever is next, needs to be bulletproof or people globally will suffer. Suffer as in starve and die. The globalists who don't think in terms of accountability, testing etc, should NOT be making any kinds of policy decisions.

Right now we are lost, capitalism has offered us nothing to believe in, nothing to strive for and in turn we have become people with no vision, no hope for anything beyond following money for moneys sake and we can clearly see we are chasing it down the plug hole.

I would agree that for many people that is sadly true. Its not always greed either - some people want a better life, and the only path they see to getting there is making more money. Even if it kills them, they are bound and determined to make more money.

We know we are running out of resources

The easy resources have been used up. Then again, this was true before humans began the agrarian lifestyle, which was why we spread out all over the globe.

IMO - One solid argument for some type of global organization - would be to jump start the exploration and expansion into space. Once we have start up resources in space, we can use them to acquire the energy and further resources that are already there.

What it will really come down to is how efficiently can we extract, store, transfer and utilize energy sources. Everything after that is just a matter of tailoring the engineering to the need.

we know we are approaching a point where we cant feed everyone,

We could do that now - just need better transportation and less corrupt governments that quit stealing donated goods.

If we're not talking mostly about CO2 - but the collective chemical spew, than I agree.

and our model does what? Puts a man like trump in who wants to go ham on natural resources at the expense of the tomorrow he will never live to see and hence doesnt care about.

Breeder reactors are a solution - but people don't like nuclear power and plutonium isn't a great thing to have for bad guys to get ahold of.

Solar power offers some hope - but areas where it does work, too many NIMBYs don't like it.
Wind Power - same thing. It's a great idea SOMEWHERE ELSE.... The analysis of usage growth clearly shows that even these renewable resources won't meet future needs. Conservation efforts and massive scaling of renewable resources won't meet the needs.

The feel good environmental energy movement is essentially trying to put up some curtains to keep the tornado in the living room. We can put up solar collectors in space and beam power down, but then that can easily become the next WMD. Hello Death Ray!

The only way out is to ditch capitalism, and the only way to make that work is global government. Its happening all around us, no amount of brexits or trumps can stop it. Might take 100 years, might take 500 years, but it is inevitable.

When the answer is: "The only way" it almost always means the problem hasn't been thought about properly or solved. If you mean to say "the best way" than that is different, and there I would disagree. A well connected micro capitalism might work in 500 years.

Right now - given the feeble brains that we see guiding major decisions - we are expecting a Bonobo to take a handful of sand, and a hair plucked off from their arm and magically turn it into a glass light bulb with no prior experience, training or resources.

Figuring out, or cobbling together a method of leadership is the easiest and least worthwhile aspect of a successful global government. Figuring out how to feed, house, employ, transport, and otherwise make the whole thing functional should come first.

When that well conceived and vetted plan is out, THEN we can look at the next steps. Until that time, talking about Globalism is like talking about how we are going to spend the millions of dollars we are hoping to win in the lottery.

Vhlad is correct in the truncated form that the media usually reports it. The ALL form, when it isn't what Trump said.

You are correct in saying that he said .... because you actually posted the full quote.

Whether to interpret Trump's in context usage of "They're rapists" to mean they are ALL rapists, or whether it means "some" is completely up to the viewer, and could be honestly argued either way.

If you take the "family" part seriously and start thinking about seventh cousins twice removed... isn't that basically just racism with more visits to ancestry.com?

I hope not - If you go down and back somewhere around fifth/sixth/seventh cousins/aunts, I might be related to Bill Clinton. There's a birthday card from when he was governor, and some annual Christmas "who's up to what" chain letters.

I'm starting to get worried that the extremist fringe of the Clinton half of America won't take the red pill on its own. Back on page 270 I laid out two binary choices, but when I did I thought the worst of it would be victim mentality and throwing some isms around; instead, things have gotten violent to the point that the "warrior" in SJW is losing its irony.

I also underestimated militancy on the right. I blame Alex Jones. Although maybe I should suspect 4chan. Haven't gone there lately.

Why won't it die off on its own? The echo chamber is still in full effect. Mainstream media covers the vandals, and quotes them saying "Trump is racist, Trump wants to deport all Muslims, Trump hates gays." Who told them those lies? The mainstream media did. It's as if you took a human centipede and attached the end to the front, creating a never-ending loop.

I've tried to penetrate the loop via social media. I've made passionate arguments with solid evidence. I've calmed down the less emotional types, but those on my friendslist talking hate and promoting violence, they just unfriended me after some oh-so-fun verbal abuse. It really does feel like the Matrix; they're protecting their own echo chambers. A prison for their minds.

I feel we need to pressure the mainstream media to admit its obvious failures. We need them to take accountability instead of continuing to dodge it. We need them to say they're sorry. Until they do, I'm afraid the violence will only get worse.

I've been a liberal all my life; I believe that peace overcomes hate, that intellect will triumph, that science is the answer, that cooperation breeds productivity.

I believe in exactly 1 of those tenets now.

What I want now is a mirror image of the GOP of the past 16-24 years. Uncooperative, nasty, cheating, violent, bullying, pure obstruction and rebellion from the Left. The electorate has decided that facts don't matter, that feelings and anger are far more persuasive. The GOP does not give a single fuck about our cooperation or opinions.

We've been playing this "compromise" game for my entire adult life, and as a result, we're a fucking centrist movement. More and more to the right we go, because democrats think that you can reason with people who think Obama was a Kenyan Muslim Communist. People that think the earth is 6000 years old, and that climate change is a hoax.

We're post-fact. Either Democrats live and fight in that realm, or we smile and spread cheek for the people who've been assaulting and dismantling our ideas for decades. At least one sitting Dem senator needs to make the same promises that Obama faced:

"One Term President."
"Obstruct Without Reading"
"Next President Picks SC Justice"
"Repeal EVERYTHING."

Spine up, or keep losing ya fuckin ingrates. Trumpers, get your "hurrdurr librul tears mmm so salty" comments in. Dems, get your "oh you can't just be worse than them" comments in. Moderates, keep pretending that the fence is the pinnacle of perfection. I don't give a fuck about your approval or your thoughts. I want to win.

Just as people can beat dogs and turn them into monsters, so can they belittle, scream, attack and otherwise ruin the lives of the people around them. They create a new generation of people who think assault and battery are acceptable.

Sadly, many of the people that are supposed to be teaching our children good things are among these abusers. Kicking them out of school, giving them bad grades, yelling at them for having any opinion that doesn't fit the agenda.

They've been at this for 30+ years now. If you have had children in school during that time, there's a high likelihood a few teachers have badgered or outright abused your children if they ever spoke or exhibited independent thinking.

Now ask yourself what the mayors and governors of these areas could be doing to quell some of this.

After Jan 21st, 2017 I suspect that the people funding and causing these violent outbursts will be arrested. Along with a slew of others who will be going to jail

Dalai, no one is funding the attacks. Obama clearly wants them stopped. There's no hidden backers here. What you have is the aftereffects of a propaganda campaign the Democrats didn't think would be ending. It isn't part of the plan. The militants and the mainstream media are the rudderless brainwashed.
